Prediction: they will get 2 years into this and then one underperforming movie will cause them to panic and swing the pendulum alllll the way to the other direction
They'll announce 15 movies over the next ten years. Before any of them releases they'll cancel 10 of them in preproduction. Then another 3 will be canceled in production. 2 will get release dates, trailers, the works. The first one will release and underperform. They'll cancel the second after it's already done and ready to go. The end
The new test screening scores for The Flash are between 80% to 90%. If Ezra can stop being weird that movie should do fine.
I’m not defending but is there proof? Seems like a lot of weird allegations and WB hasn’t fired him yet?
Who knows. But judging by his recent behavior over the last couple of years it's believable enough. Dude clearly has a screw loose.
This. Remember the story of the executives giving a standing ovation to their internal viewing of BvS?
Just release it and recast the Flash/Barry. If it's the same Barry or a new universe Barry, it doesn't matter. Just recast and move on. It's not like anyone is going to see these movies to see Ezra Miller.
Probably worried about the ton of negative publicity it’s going to get with regards to the star. That’s all the headlines will be about.
Batgirl cost, what, 90 million? Flash has sunk over 200 million of WB's money. They cancelled Batgirl as a tax write off. They're not doing that with Flash (nor can they, for the same financial gain). The movie will either be dumped to streaming or released. WB is going to take their lumps one way or another. The more expensive way is to cancel the movie at this point. The other is to release and deal with the press each taking turns wagging their self righteous fingers. At least in that scenario the movie still can make cash. Focus the marketing on Michael Keaton's return as Batman, focus on it being a movie that resets the DC movie universe, and keep Ezra Miller as far away from the promotion as possible.
This. the batgirl thing sounds like something you can only do once sort of deal also. Too much money on this film. I would bet they would just release it to HBOMax and not do a theatrical release due to the bad publicity factor around Ezra. Could be wrong on that but it would just seem odd if they are going to release a film in theaters just to tell everyone they are moving away from the main character of the film... especially if it does extremely well at the box office.
If they are doing a type of Flashpoint, a new Flash at the end would be such a cool reveal. I’ve never seen a company so inept at handling intellectual property
Titans is a CW show but they can curse and show boobs. Absolutely hated their casting for Bruce. Could never get past that.
