Is there a confirmed time for when this Superman teaser trailer drops today? Whoops, believe it is tomorrow.
They already announced a different cinematographer for Messiah. Maybe he just wanted someone different. I don't know.
before he turned into a meme/ gave in to his worst script writing impulses..... Ill say it until im blue in the face: zack synders man of steel was the best superman movie ever / best take on the character. as a visuals / action guy he was second to none. I still rewatch the batman warehouse scene from batman vs superman
My view was always he made a great collection of scenes that in sum made average movies. He tried so hard to ground MoS into Christopher Nolan's reality and then spent the last half of the movie making giant explosion after giant explosion. I thought his casting choices were A+ and he'll forever get credit for it. Such a shame Cavill only got to be Superman a couple times in essentially a decade as the character
Perfect explanation. He has some of the best action scenes ever and I’ll rewatch his movies just waiting for those scenes. Michael Shannon will forever be Zod. Gunn needs to just go ahead and accept that and cast him for it.
Great score. Action looks good. Krypto is a good boy. Superman actually fights a monster. Lex looks pissed. Quick cuts of the other superhero’s. Clark gets caught checking out Lois and does the quick look around lol Think it teased enough without giving anything away.
after doing some research on people that appear in the trailer, I'm very interested in this Cat Grant character and how much she may be featured going forward.
I’m going to sound like a hater but aside from the music and it not be another origin tale, I didn’t really care for it. Will watch it eventually but will abscond from anymore trailers to keep an element of surprise.
Snyder's take sucked, if I want a broody super hero I have batman. That isn't what superman is about. Do urself a favor and read all star Superman. That's what Superman is supposed to be. Full Stop. Snyder's version was garbage. Someone has never watched any of the animated Superman shows. Like comon man, Cadmus arc Superman in Justice League unlimited might be the best take on a nihilistic Superman and it's not even particularly close. Not to mention the early animated episodes of hopeful superman (before shit just got old for him) along with World's Finest with Batman and him meeting the first time I mean fuck My Adventures with Superman kick the shit out of Snyder's stuff and that's a cartoon network show
Really good teaser. Film seems like it's willing to embrace the cosmic sci-fi elements of Superman, which is a real breath of fresh air vs previous depictions. I'll watch a full trailer when it drops in the Spring and then avoid the rest like the plague. Going to try and go in relatively spoiler free. Loving the music.
I feel like we need Eathan Edwards insight here. There's no way this is a platonic relationship and honestly, good for Gunn.
I dont have any idea what 90% of that trailer was. But it looks badass....ur telling me there is a superdog? Wiki here i come.
This is what the second time we get Mr Terrific in a live action setting (First I think was CW Flash) and the first Green Lantern since Ryan Rynolds shitty one?
Correct. Mr. Terrific and the T Spheres look great. Glad they went comic accurate with Guy Gardner’s haircut haha
Would've liked to see a new villain rather than Lex since he's been over done with every iteration but it looks pretty good.
I will say Ive always liked Gunns hipster gimmick...this should end up comfortably ahead of MOS but I can still appreciate both takes on the character DC animated stuff is an almost unfair standard. and im talking specifically about MOS. snyders best contribution to the DCU. everything after (batman vs superman, etc) was bad to awful, and you couldnt overlook the terrible writing, or the overkill action sequences i thought MOS had a pretty good depiction of krypton, a good backstory about young superman criss crossing the world, Zod + crew were the right amount of menacing, and (this makes up a lot for me) god-level hand to hand scenes. couldve dialed it back like 20% on the explosions, sure B movie, agreed with everything Bruce Wayne said above
Honestly we have never seen a good movie Lex in my mind. I haven't like a single one of them. I'm fine with it being Lex just get it fucking right. One thing (Well it's more than one thing they did well that show fucking rules) Superman and Lois did really well was make Lex a fucking terrifying figure.
Batfleck was pretty badass and I hope one day we get a true live action Dark Knight Returns. Didn’t like him as Bruce Wayne but all the Batman stuff was pretty cool.
It’s going to get cancelled at this rate. The director for Brave & Bold said his movie is way off and he plans to direct another movie now.
The Snyder Cut JL end credit had a GL I think. Either that or it was rumored and they replaced it with Martian Manhunter.
MM was at the end of the Snyder Cut. He did film a scene with a GL in his driveway with a green screen but WB wouldn’t let him add it because they were working on another GL project. This is the only pic we got of it as far as I know.
