Pretty good Crime Drama about a District Attorney (Chris Evans) whose son is implicated in a murder. Watching the 5th episode right now. Edit: On Apple TV+
Not sure if this is a spoiler or not but just in case I’m trying to be very vague: Spoiler A kid in his grade posts a message on Facebook saying something like, “We know you did it. You have a knife”. During forensic there is a partial finger print on the dead boys jacket that matches Jacob’s.
Spoiler Jacob was arrested and when forensics was investigating the crime scene they pulled a partial print that was his
It’s awesome. I’m really enjoying it. Had no idea the last episode wasn’t released yet. We just binged it and I’m pissed I have to wait now.
But was he arrested because they found his fingerprint right? Or was he arrested and then they discovered that his fingerprint matched? Edit: He was def arrested after they had his fingerprints. They claimed to find his fingerprint on the kid. So my questions is still, how did they already have his fingerprint in the justice system?
They mentioned in one of the episodes that they were fingerprinting all the kids that had a connection to Ben. It's the episode where Andy and Duffy have all the interviews with the kids that go nowhere at the school.
Major Spoilers dealing with the last episode: Spoiler So, I think that deep down Andy Barber felt his son was the murder. I got the impression that Jacob was not going to wake up from the coma. I feel like Andy wasn’t truthful in the Grand Jury hearing in order to keep his son’s name clean. If he would have divulged the information about his and Lori’s conversation in Mexico, the fact that Lori has doubted his son’s innocence which led to her crashing the vehicle, and about the hit by Father O’Leary Jacob, those would have confirmed suspicions about Jacob’s innocence. It is a tragedy that Andy has had to be deceitful to his loved ones in order to protect them, in his mind. The complexity of his inner character battle really made the show for me. Battling with his father’s past, defending his son, and defending his wife was a good touch. Best part of the show, IMO was Chris Evans acting capabilities. Really held the show together. I would give it a 7.5 or 8 / 10. Will definitely be checking out the book later this year.
