On the patio at Cerebral right now, perfect weather today. Looks like we won’t be doing much of anything in a couple days

 

Thank God I'm not flying out till Wednesday evening

 

just hoping the airport is operating normally come Wednesday night. Lot of people's early week travel is gonna get delayed

The last few years I've flown out early Thursday and it was super smooth. Seems like they have a lot less flights on Thursday this year though

 

I flew out late Wednesday last time and it all went fine. Airport is normally emptier since most people have already traveled but could be a little hectic

 

My flight isn't till 8:45pm so I hope it's cleared out by then. To be fair, it's only taken me longer than 30 minutes to get through security a couple of times at DIA

 

Looks like another round possible Friday which is when I’ll need some luck with the airport

 

Been playing tour guide to my MIL and some of my wife's friends all weekend. Friends are leaving tomorrow, MIL is HOPEFULLY leaving Tuesday evening, but my mother and daughter, who were supposed to be coming in Tuesday for Thanksgiving after MIL left, are now arriving Monday evening to beat the storm. Please kill me.

 

Also if you're ever in Vail on Sunday, the Vintage has a really good brunch menu and the prices are pretty reasonable, especially by Vail standards

 

Epic is open today and several of the other breweries look like they still opened too. We’re the only two people currently at Epic so that’s nice

I know this is a long shot, but thought i'd ask. Just got this email from Denver performing arts about Hamilton tix going on sale in the next few months:


Single tickets for Hamilton go on sale to the public Monday, April 20 at 10:00 a.m. MT at denvercenter.org. Hamilton returns to The Buell Theatre August 12 - October 4, 2020 as an added attraction to the 2019/20 season. Patrons with a 2019/20 DCPA subscription package will have priority access to purchase tickets from February 25 through March 8, based on availability.

There is a maximum purchase limit of eight (8) tickets per account for the engagement. There will also be a lottery for forty (40) $10 seats for all performances. On sale prices and lottery details will be announced closer to the engagement. Please visit denvercenter.org/Hamilton regularly for additional details as they become available.

Does anyone here have or know anyone who has a DCPA subscription? I know I can probably get tickets if I wait until the normal date, but my g/f is dying to see this show so I'd like to do my best to sure it up asap.

I see fox and some other place are cheaper than the rest so I wasn't sure if one of them sucked

 

Fox is great. I’ve used them many times.

 

Do not, under any circumstances, use payless. I cannot stress that enough

 

Any thoughts on hikes to do this Friday? Want to do a day hike and am willing to drive a few hours outside of Denver. Trying to think of what would be good and doable this early in Spring.

 

This is a great hike not far from the city.

Mount Falcon is a cool hike and very close. The Presidential summer home that burned down is cool to check out.

Rampart Range is the spot we hit most frequently. It's super convenient. I also like Peru Creek but holy shit does it get cold that high up

 

Got AJ’s delivered tonight. 2nd time eating it. Sides are whatever but holy hell their meat is amazing

 

I haven't been in probably a year, I need to get back. Their Mac n cheese and banana pudding are great

 

I ate there when it first opened. I found it hard to get to and thought it was in a strange location. The meat was good then, but they were clearly working on it and I’m sure it’s good now

 

Yeah it's a weird location but I'm glad it's not in downtown or RiNo, you'd never get in.

Wife and I were gunna drive the Pikes Peak road tomorrow. Do I have to pre-buy tickets or can I just drive up to the gate?

 

Not sure but just had some friends drive up there. Don’t think they planned ahead

 

Is it open? Think the Mt. Evans road is closed, for what it’s worth.

 

Evans is until July but the Pikes website doesn't say anything about the road being closed even though some activities are
