Moving this weekend and took Monday/Tuesday off. The pup and I will be doing absolutely nothing besides a hike possibly and myself injecting my eye balls.
Went to Somebody People tonight.. so good
At Post Oak bbq. Very good
Tennyson St is great.
Feral is my favorite outdoor store.
Been told I need to check out their used gear for skiing and camping.
camping for sure. they have deals on tents better than my friend gets via his pro deals
Anyone have Verizon? Cell service has been awful all day, seems like an anomaly.
I do on both phones and don't have any issues
What do you recommend? I could eat bbq every day.
Wayne’s up in Superior is also great
AJ's is the best I've had
Anyone ever eat Ragin Hog? It has good reviews but honestly has never looked super appealing. Maybe I am missing out
Ragin Hog is alright. Better than a lot of options out here. But up in the area post oak is a better option. And Owlbear is great. My 2 cents
I appreciate the recommendations, Layla does too. Every time I open the fridge she goes straight for the bottom shelf where the bbq is.
I truly haven’t fallen in love with any place, although AJs, Post Oak, and Owl Bear are always pretty good
Someone pick my hike tomorrow weather permitting. Dierks and I will travel 1h-1.30h
I liked the Rattlesnake Gulch Trail with the added Continental Divide loop in El Dorado State Park. Pretty easy hike if the trail hasn't frozen over. If you want something a bit longer and more difficult then the South Boulder Peak trail is pretty good too
Roaming Buffalo near DU.
Damn. That seems less than ideal.
I didn't realize we can get dust storms
Was downtown at civic center park at the Kriskindle Market when it hit. Was pretty wild honestly. Mass exodus and a 12 degree temp drop instantly
Fucking cold out there today
Thoughts on Bird Call? Idk how I feel about it
It’s fine. I get it delivered once in a while.
Hey its snowing finally
Had it once at the Whole Foods by Union Station. Decent chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese
This weather has been amazing lately.
Eating an edible and walking through the highlands and sunnyside to look at Christmas lights was quite a fun thing to do this month
Yeah. Hope everyone is okay
It supposed to start rain/snowing so hopefully that can help in the next 24 hours
Excited for the city’s first snow
So was I until I had witnessed snow drivers here. Exponentially worse than before the snow.
Sounds like the Louisville Y is in need of help. Some 3000 came Friday for supplies, shelter etc. I was told you can stop in to volunteer and they'll gladly get you going. I'll be there morning to close.
Fake winter over: -15 on the old ranch tonight.
Heading to Denver in the spring for a concert and some golf, staying in the South Broadway neighborhood. Any golf course and food/brewery/bar recommendations would be much appreciated.
I don't golf but the Overland golf course is directly adjacent to southbroadway/baker neighborhood
for food. Lucille’s for breakfast/brunch.
The Fort west of town if you want something casual fancy; they specialize in game meats.
My favorite bar was Ironton Distillery in RiNo. They’re next door to Blue Moon, which is always closed for a private function.
Honestly just walk up and down south Broadway and you can’t go wrong.
Looking at going this weekend, for an uncultured person like myself, what can I expect?
Its like being in an alternate universe. Make sure you explore as much as you can. There's doors and rooms where you least expect it. Definitely do some drugs to heighten the experience if that's your thing. The coolest room is kind of separate from everything else, it's to the far left when you first walk in by like a cafeteria. Its got a stage in it for concerts but that's not the primary use of the room. If you miss it, ask someone by the front desk to point you toward it. We almost missed it when we went and it was everyone's favorite area
Common Ground in Aurora is worth the short drive, great Doak course, just stays very busy
Just started looking for a home in December. Put our first bid in yesterday to something off market. Only one other couple saw the house. They immediately went 70k over the asking price. shit is just wild. godspeed to anyone else looking for a home around here.
That’s why I chose to rent for now. Also, not sure how long I’ll be in Denver… which areas are you looking?
all over. most realistically, like Harvey Park, Park Hill. Also looking unrealistically in Whittier and Berkley.
Check out Virginia Village and Glendale. Still relatively affordable and a lot of people our age are buying there
We are as well, although I haven't spent much time there and worried about its proximity to cherry creek and a bunch of commercial stuff (hotels and shopping). I am sure we may be forced to pivot to glendale, since preferences mean nothing in this market.
need some recs for dinner for one night downtown and brunch the next day. And has anyone been to Kingas Polish restaurant ?
