I drove around for years in Texas without front plates. Got stopped twice for it and was given a warning both times.
Posted in the big cat thread. But this guy was in Boulder 2 nights ago. Backyard of a coworker. Killed a raccoon
same, although I will step out tomorrow for a haircut. hoping there is minimal traffic due to the cold got a stew ready for tomorrow.
-7, dumping snow here, and I get to drive 50+ miles each way tomorrow for a medical procedure. Peak timing right there.
looking to go to my first nuggets game against the magic (i know) on the 15th of january . best place to get tickets?
Any website about 20mins before tip. I went to a Nuggets game last January and then an Avalanche game about a week after that. Do recommend NHL over the NBA and I only know the basics about hockey
i definitely wanna go to an avs game but taking my wife and little sister who is visiting from college and they would rather watch basketball
A jet just did a low flyover over downtown /cap hill ... wtf edit: oooooooooh https://denverite.com/2023/01/09/co...res-and-loud-noises-around-civic-center-park/
Anyone live in Boulder here? Moving from SLC to the front range and have a few questions about living in Boulder.
Rehearsal dinner ideas for a party of 28-34 closer toward Golden? We originally planned to stay in Golden, but it's looking like Denver Marriot West will be the winner. We could shuttle or uber people toward Denver if there is a better restaurant fit/recommendation. Here is what I already have on our list from prior weddings at our venue: New Terrain Brewing Schnepf's Restaurant Buffalo Rose The Eddy Tributary Food Hall (catered/food trucks)
Welp idk about you guys but we officially got 12 inches out in SE Aurora. Looks like Denver only got around 6
I'll have to give a try. not sure who has the best. I have had plenty of good wings at pizza places (the well, pizza alley) and at bars + holes in the wall (Genna Rae, for one). Went to Q house last week and their wings were fucking awesome.
No, honestly I hire someone through Rover to stay at my place with my dog. For 40-60/night that's not terrible.
that's about the per night prices I am seeing at a lot of places. definitely a lot of options. Someone gave me one rec, but it is hilariously all the way out in Bennett. So looking to avoid that.
She is actually off to obedience school in early March as we go to Tahoe. I was just looking for something in for mid to late February. If this is something you do, I’ll for sure keep it in mind. If it was just a one time favor, that was very nice of you
I am heading to Denver with some heavy metal buddies to hit a couple of concerts in early June. Shows are at Summit and The Ogden. None of us have any connection to Denver, but seems like RiNo / Five Points area is cool and fairly close to Summit. Will probably go to Trve Brewery also. The Ramble Hotel seems nice - would that be a good place to stay? Any recommendations for bars / restaurants for 3 bros trying to party a bit?
there is a metal bar by Brutal Poodle. Tie it in with Dive Inn / Skylark Lounge and youll have a good night
After lunch today I decided to take a walk around City Park as I live less than a block from the Park. I get to the other side of the lake and hear 5-6 of what sound like gun shots ring out. By the time I got around the lake about 20 cruisers had come speeding down 17th toward East HS. Apparently two HS kids pulled up on another HS kid in his car and shot him. They found the kids somewhere in NE Denver about an hour ago. This world is fucked.
Was just reading about that on twitter. Sadly, it sounds like the kid who was shot isn’t going to make it.
Fuckin' hell man, I'm not surprised but it sucks. I don't know how someone would survive being shot basically point blank 5 or 6 times
Ramble has one of the best cocktail bars in Denver (Death & Co) in the lobby. The location is great for walking too.
Shot in the dark - anyone in the area want an Xbox Series X for $300, or else it's going to GameStop. Also, best BBQ I have found in the Denver area is Seasoned Swine in Golden. Ended up talking to the owner and he started as a food truck and then got the restaurant up and running. He is also from Iowa and we had some mutual friends so he bought us some beer and a free app.
