I just got a pretzel and monkey bread for lunch there. Pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the Milk Market restrooms. The stall situation at my office is deeply uncomfortable so it's good to know that is there.
Rainfall reports from last night are crazy. Basically all of Denver proper got 3” and castle rock got over 5”. Good thing it wasn’t cold enough for that to be snow.
That’s fun. Definitely going to try to get a spring day on a closing weekend for beaver or vail. Will give me 18 on the season
I think I’m at 10 right now. Coming back next Saturday and then going to hit Copper and Absin in 3 weeks. Going to try and get to 15 days. Not bad for my first ski season.
Their entire mini empire that has popped up in a year is great. My only complaint is that with all the cross pollination on their menus there’s really only one or two exclusive dishes at each place so no real point going to all of them
ya my wife is going with a friend to alma fonda fina in May. I plan to hit the Mezcaleria later in the year. which place showed up first? the one in Boulder?
Alma was first, Cozobi maybe 7 months later, then mezcaleria quickly followed by the cherry creek location
Alma Fonda Fina was first, then cozobi. Mezcaleria is right next door to Alma in Lo Hi. Then the new cherry creek place I haven’t been yet
gotcha, hadn't heard of Alteño speaking of nice mexican / latin american restuarants, has anyone been to Lucina or Xiquita? how do they compare?
Lucina is awesome. Wife and I go frequently. Very different than Alma Fonda Fina (which is also fantastic and certainly deserves its star). Make sure to go on a night that they are doing the paella (Friday/Saturday).
Did the Brutø/nonesuch collab last night. Mostly decent, major deduction for how horribly dry the bison brisket they had the nerve to serve was. Did just get back from a week in Napa though so standards are high in this household
I was watching something the other night and they were talking about seasons. They said Colorado has 3 seasons. July, August, and winter. lol
This is funny to me. I’ve never driven to or took an Uber/cab to or from a Rockies game. Was looking at Google maps the other day and literally said out loud “oh, THAT’S where the Coors field parking is” when I came across it.
Taking the family to Estes Park and Boulder this week for spring break. Just grabbed some cheap mezzanine tickets to the Thursday game thanks to this thread. First time back to the front range since CU beat UGA in 2010.
I know it was cold last night, they were playing the A’s, and we left after the top of the 7th, but it took us 3 minutes to get a Lyft. I know that’s not the norm.
There’s not a bad seat, it comes down to how much you want to spend and what you want to see. If you want an amazing sunset view, sit high up on the first base side. I particularly like the right field box seats above the out of town scoreboard.
thanks. That’s where I was leaning towards both of those areas. Don’t really want to spend more than like 40 bucks a seat.
If an evening game Section 317 thru 321, first row or second row. Deal with the sun but then enjoy the sunset.
If you want shade, 3rd base line. Cheap seat options there as well. Also, RF upper deck is fun since you can just chill at the Rooftop all game and also get those great views. Our preference is 200 level just past 3B. Usually can find first row for $65-$75 per seat and really clean bathrooms for the kids.
Buddy of mine drives United big wig fliers (Global Services type people) between gates in a brand new BMW I7 That car is looking fucking sweet. He said it costs 144K
If tomorrow’s Rox game gets called, they’re gonna have to find a hole in the schedule to get both teams back to Denver. I don’t understand why they schedule any out of division home games in April.
