Coming to Denver in mid-September for a Sturgill show at Red Rocks. Also doing some birding south of town at Chatfield State Park. I've stayed downtown every time I've been in town, but I'm open to other/better areas if yall have suggestions on walkable areas with good food & beer.
I’d probably go Airbnb in Lower Highlands. It’s right across the bridge from downtown but definitely a quieter experience at night.
I recommend the Espadin LoHi. It is right across from Zuni St. Brewing and there are a lot of freaky good restaurants within a short walk and easy access to downtown. Parking can be a bitch, but highly recommend.
several good sushi restaurants. spuntino. kawa ni. uncle. bar dough. alma fonda + mezcaleria. and many more.
Has that always been a hotel or recently changed? I lived on 38th and Zuni for 3 yrs and never realized that
I don't disagree with the sentiment, but it'll be 30ish years old around 2031. I think they want to own the land the stadium is on (they currently lease). Plus they want the new age stadium with the roof for a potential super bowl and bowl games, etc.
Makes sense from that perspective and it's not like they are shaking down the city, state, or taxpayers for it. Just crazy that a stadium that opened in 2001 could have already exhausted its useful life.
curious what the city will do with the land when they get it back in 2030 or whatever. just a big hole in the ground and parking lots?
Oh, I hate that part of it and think it’s stupid. But at least the new stadium isn’t gonna be in lone tree or Arvada.
If I moved to CO to get away from Republican-led state governments, and we elect a ministry leader as the next Governor, I’m going to be very upset.
wait, circling back to this. did you mean the blinds or the stretched out shade? if the latter, we got this product on amazon: GORILLA GRIP Heavy Duty Sun Shade, UV Protection Fade Tear and Rust Resistant Rectangle Sunshade Canopy, Curved Edges Blocks Sunlight, Breathable Sail, Outdoor Patio, Lawn Garden 10x13 FT, Sand
anyone visited telluride much? heading that way thursday-sunday and wanted to see if there were any must visits there
I’ve been once during the winter and we’re going there in a couple weeks. Planning on hiking/biking. Dinners at The Tunnel and omakase seating at Kazahana
Ok got a spot near Highland Park west of downtown. Any food/drinks/coffee/dispensary recs are appreciated
Are you visiting? for that side of town, I always recommend simply pure as a dispensary. The only black woman owned dispensary. Plus it puts you right in the heart of lohi. Two brothers is a great straightforward diner. Wooden spoon is a great morning bakery spot if you are an early bird. Occidental is a great dive, especially for watching sports. There are honestly a ton of awesome cocktail bars over there. What sort of food or dinners you interested in?
Yeah, in town through Thursday. Seeing Sturgill at Red Rocks and doing a bunch of birding with Denver Audubon As far as food - just high quality, no matter the cuisine, happy to support good local businesses
Taqueria la familia and spuntino are across from each other. One is whole in the wall Mexican. One is a nice Italian restaurant. Plus you’ve got uncle, dimestore, kawa ni, ginger pig, ros Siam, brother’s bar for a good cheap burger, either Alma restaurant. That’s just lohi and the highlands. my preferred coffee shops are downtown but maci ain’t bad.
