Also I forgot to toss out two of my pre work favorites right now: lo dough in the alley behind the milk market. So good. and port side for coffee. Amazing vibe, coffee and BEC sandwich
Went to Guard and Grace for my wife’s birthday dinner last night. Ribeye was delicious, as was the filet flight that she ordered.
I’ve never really picked up on dispensaries having “great prices,” just periodic deals. But I guess a lohi dispensary will always have higher prices than the fringe area dispensaries. I live in park hill now so I tend to shop at a green solution just because it is nearby.
For those in the Denver area. I’m thinking of spending a few months next late spring/early summer to climb and scramble. I did this summer in boulder which was great. Super easy access to the flatirons and flagstaff mountain. Is there another area folks would recommend with similar levels of access? I was thinking Golden but open to ideas. Probably would be like mid April through mid June so I’d probably want to avoid areas that still have tons of snow in April.
I know a lot of people climb in Clear Creek. The morrison / golden area is good for that. not really my area of expertise tho.
Yea it was the first dispensary I went to on Jan 1st, 2014 when rec became legal in CO. I’ve been going for a long time and they are like family. Get great product at great prices
My kid has a football game tomorrow. Looking forward to not freezing my ass off like a couple of weeks ago.
was just in telluride this past weekend. the color change out there is top tier. also, highly recommend hitting up the pick for breakfast burritos in mountain village
Tried to go to My Neighbor Felix last night and it was a complete shit show. Sat at the bar, took 10 minutes to order a drink and guac and chips. Got our drinks, then 5 minutes later they bring us a side of guac, no chips. Bartender doesn’t check on us for literally 20 minutes. Flag down a new bartender and show him what we have, he punches an order of guac with chips. We get that and munch on it and we’ve now been there an hour and decide to bail and go somewhere else. Get our check and they tried to charge us for both guacs. Wont be going back. ended up at bamboo sushi and really dug that.
started with a bang and got too big for their britches great for basic cougar hunting if you’re single though
About 5 empty pre-check lanes in the new East security checkpoint this morning. Think hitting up East is going to be my move for the foreseeable future.
Other than one time where I had to wait about 20 minutes at precheck, I’ve pretty much barely broken stride before getting to an agent either side in pre.
As much as it sucks not having downstairs security, I haven’t had any issue going to the upstairs security. Wait times have been nonexistent. Completely anecdotal tho
Only criticism I have is that CLEAR is terrible at DIA and does not save time. I am enrolled because of the Amex benefit that makes it free
Ive never had an issue with West, but wanted to check out east today and it was even quicker. Clear has helped me out a few times, but nothing significant over regular pre-check. I’ve never had an issue with the airport in general, and it’s miles ahead of other airports I’ve been through.
hopefully it becomes even better when they finish the bottom floor, whenever that is. I think it can be a pretty sweet airport once they finish refurbishing all the terminals (the ends of the terminals with all the local restaurants are really nice). They'll never fix the issue with the location of the airport, but at least make it nice. the united lounges are the best part of the airport imo. Another improvement they could make is giving you a walk option for more than just A Terminal. the trams are generally fine but when there is an issue or it is really crowded, I'd rather just have a long walk. I really don't mind the walk from bridge to A gates.
After having flown through DFW most of my life with the half crescent terminals and tram, the super long terminal setup of DIA enrages me
Ok not typically my bag but trying to branch out and do new things and say yes when invited to do stuff out of my comfort zone. Got invited to go elk hunting this year and bought a rifle. Got it sighted in with my conservative FIL a few weeks ago (hilariously I think he might now actually look at me as a son 12 years later). Took said rifle (Browning .308) to a gun range today. Went to this place in Loveland and holy shit it’s a fucking compound. 100 yard indoor range in the basement etc, incredibly nice. It was fun to shoot, still not sure this is exactly my bag but I am pretty competitive so still had fun edging out my wife on target practice. Then went and hit the golf range with my best friend for an hour or so in the glorious weather followed by some icy cold beers. Now chilling listening to Europe ‘72 and catching up on the good election news from yesterday. Pretty remarkable how much my life has changed in a couple years
Been meaning to visit the Ma’s dim sum that replaced the old lucky noodles. Ready for colfax to return to normal
God damnit, I moved out in May. I think it was bro who recommended her and he was spot on. I went there a couple times and the lady is the highlight every time. Food also is amazing.

I think the Alma ppl should start slowing down….had our first lackluster experience at Cozobi the other night. Quality bound to dip when you open 8 restaurants in 2 years
