Were any of the 22 not massage therapists? I know a bunch were, just not sure if there were any accusers where that wasn’t the relationship.
You would think you’d stick with one or two people who give you a good massage. Dude was treating them like strippers at the Spearmint Rhino.
Haslam should have been there. If you own the team, you set the tone for what your organization is about on and off the field. Haslam should be there to speak on the Browns' behalf in that regard. That said, unless Haslam forced Berry to do this, I'm not sure why this tweet is making Berry out to be some sort of sacrificial lamb or fall guy. Seems pretty likely this doesn't happen if Berry didn't push for it, so I'm not sure why I'm supposed to feel bad for him being the one there to face the questions about it.
You can't say you had a complete investigation if you didn't speak to them. You also can't speak to them because that would easily become an intimidation scenario. Dumb line of questions and dumb responses.
I haven't seen that. I don't know if there's a legal difference between the NFL and individual clubs talking to them.
both just businesses https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.c...erns-regarding-their-interviews-with-the-nfl/
The NFL has done a lot gross things but I can't remember one worse than this. This was bad but that press conference just hammered it home. I think people want a rationale for why this is happening and I guess in the back of your mind you think maybe an explanation is coming but nah.
In all fairness, he didn't say they had a "complete" investigation despite lacking any interaction with the women. He just said it was a "comprehensive holistic full full full comprehensive comprehensive" perspective.
And the reason they do that PR speak is because they know that as long as they stand there and take it once, enough people eventually move on and they get what they want. It's bad for a day. Maybe longer in this case. But now they've addressed it and people will move on to the next thing while Watson throws TD passes.
Weird dichotomy to live in this very proud to be capitalist country and being completely frightened of telling everyone you did something for money.
Between the Urban Meyer/Zach Smith thread and this thread, I have noticed that no one Ohio has ever repeated the same lunch order which seems pretty suspicious. Coupled with the subjects of those thread being bald-faced liars, the only conclusion I can draw is that everyone in the state of Ohio is completely full of shit and should never be trusted. Except for my grandma in Toledo. She is a saint.
Is ESPN going to fire Trotter for asking legitimate questions and making one of their 32 partners look terrible in real time?
They deliberately targeted Hispanics to rip off in their fraud scheme a while back. Never stop at a Pilot Flying J if you can help it
he also added that he'll confer with his wife and daughter(s), and they'll have the authority to impose/veto any punishment
Coming out with a suspension before anything from the civil trials becomes public seems like a horrible move you'd prefer to avoid if you're the NFL. It's a no-win situation for them and there's not much you can do here.
Woooo I’m just reading this stuff. I’m honestly surprised took questions. I’m willing to put money it on it they didn’t think there was any chance they got grilled like that
They knew what they were getting into. Berry and Stefanski aren't stupid. There's nothing they could have said that would have appeased anyone, but they still had to do it so they can point back to it in the future when they don't want to talk about it.
Not a chance. They knew they’d get grilled especially with a lot of the non-Cleveland media there. They had to get this out of the way and behind them, but it had to be done to introduce Watson. It was always gonna happen
Apparently Arthur Blank said yesterday he doesn't know if Watson is guilty or not, but of course still went after him.
