- Dabut grabbing relic at Templar - Dabut grabbing relic in Confluxes - Dabut surviving The Abyss - Dabut killing his Gatekeeper - Dabut running sword - Dabut grabbing the aura at Warpriest - Dabut getting the gaze - Dabut running relic @ Oryx - Dabut using the bomb to activate the safe rooms - Dabut surviving the entire Seige Engine encounter - Dabut running cannons Haha. Jk. Dabut never did any of those things! Lol.
But for real though, when Dabut somehow survived the Gatekeeper onslaught on the other side of the bridge in the updated version of CE after we all died was pretty fucking hilarious.
My favorite moment also involves Dabut. Cerberus Vae strike on nightfall, approaching the big tank where the boss is, Dabut says "I'm just gonna hang back and snipe" Then about 3 seconds later he drives his sparrow straight into a Colossus and gets facefucked.
The only thing I worry about is what happens come expansion time. If it's the same song and dance as D1 I'm gonna be off the train. Firmly on train and very excited as if rn tho
I'm all in for more content, but charging us $40 for rehashed and reused existing content was annoying to me, it may fine to you but it bothered me and many others quite a bit. Come more original with the expansions pls.
i get what you're saying and agree to an extent. it was very disappointing constantly going back to the cosmodrome. even if they were new areas they were still the same aesthetic for the most part and didn't feel worth it. but in general loved the game and will still buy all expansions. just hope they don't do the same thing this time around.
This is me in a nutshell. I put more hours into Destiny than I have any other game but i was disappointed with every expansion outside of TTK. I love Destiny and some of the best times in gaming I had playing it. I just want them to treat us like we are potentially gonna spend $200 on their game and make that investment completely worth our while.
A good example of how to do the expansions right would be the Bordelands series. Every expansion was vast and different (feeling like brand new games even). Memorable story lines, new weapons and raid bosses and enjoyable experiences. If the same studio that brought us Aliens Colonial marines can give us fresh expansive content then Bungie should certainly be able to pull it off with their pedigrees and history of exceptional performance. /rant
Not saying I don't love Borderlands, but often the enemies were just reskinned from the base game and maybe had a different attack or something.
I'm not asking for new enemies in Destiny either. Just new fresh environments (that include strikes). I also think adding in singular raid type bosses (not full on raids but a boss alone to fight raid style would help with some content). Just don't go back to the well when we get new content and I'm good af
From interviews with the game directors, they didn't expect Destiny to be a game that people played non-stop for 2-3 years. They expected it to be something people would play for a bit and then pick back up for a month or two when new content dropped. There are interviews with them basically saying "Hey it's ok to play other games too." Instead you had people that just played nothing but destiny and blew through the content at an unsustainable pace. I think this time around they have a better feel for what the community is looking for and have planned accordingly.
Right, but I don't think they intended for it to be the only game people played for 10 years. Which is what it turned into
leaked European Dead Zone footage (while it lasts, Bungie's taking these down). Has patrol, public events, Lost Sectors, adventures. Looks pretty great.
weapon play looked better, the scout he's using on the adventure in particular looks more in line with what I expect scouts to do vs what was in the beta.
"10 years" refers to nothing more than how long Activision is involved with Destiny. Contractually, there was a 10 year plan for Destiny to release 4 games with small DLC packs like Crota and Prison and a major expansion (contract was signed in 2012, D4 was supposed to be released in 2019) in an early Destiny vidoc they use the phrasing "the ultimate adventure that unfolds over the next 10 years". to me, that doesn't say this is going to be 10 years of enough content to play 6-12 hours per day, it says they're going to make a world and be telling a story in it for the next decade. the only reason this last year has been slower than the previous ones is because how much of the engine had to be rewritten for various reasons. so, unless they just cancel the series before 10 years is up or stop doing dlc there will 100% be a story that "unfolds over the 10 years"
what are we naming the new clan? can't just be TMB right? gotta spice it up a little. like dixie chicks in training
Seems the first raid is called Leviathan. I wonder if it's referencing the one from Fundameny or what
yeah, people are wondering if it's just because the current pre-build has the glimmer unlocked/uncapped. It was like that with Destiny 1 previews.
I don't think it makes me suck less, but it's soooo much more comfortable. When you're spending literally thousands of hours playing Destiny, comfort trumps anyone else's opinion for me.
the game has apparently leaked in Poland. Some guy posted screens from a retail copy he got. So, heads up if you're spoiler averse. Also, we need to figure out what we want to change the clan name to and what emblem/slogan we want.
presumably some stuff is on for reviewers/previews. Seems like it'd be pretty easy for them to track down who it is.
I'm all for keeping "The Mainboard Clan". But if we decide to change it, maybe something like "Perpetually in need of one more for a raid" clan or something along those lines.
