Have to say having now seen Bungies full implementation of sunsetting, it is going to kill the game for me. They added 17 weapons. 17. In a forty dollars expansion. And hell, some of those aren't even from the expansion, they are from the season pass. They took away hundreds of guns only to give us back 17. There is jack shit for loot in the looter. Back to year one.
you really can always find something to bitch about. sure they removed guns but 98% of them were unusable trash anyway. the fewer guns that exist in the game the easier it is to get ones you want. the only relevant thing that was sunset is mountaintop and frankly im glad to see it gone because there was no variety in pve builds because of it.
lol yes. thats why all the top raid groups use it. actually do some research before you stan a gun that hasnt been best in class for a while. no one does better weapon/build theory crafting than ehroar. i will defer to his judgement over some random tmber.
option 1: take time to design dozens of new guns that will probably have the same stats as old guns because everything has been done multiple times already. option 2: recycle old guns with new perk pools and find a better use for that time i will take option 2 every single time

It could have different rolls. The point is that it's a looter without any loot. Just because most people are too dumb to think for themselves and only ran a couple of weapons doesn't mean all of us did. I had a ton of different weapons I used and they have all been taken without any substitute. Then add on the fact that Bungie is too dumb to look at what's available and fill the gaps. We have had a kinetic 540 pulse since year one. Haven't had one at all since season 6. So there's not a single one in the game that is light relevant right now. So many weapons are missing element types as well. And with Bungies love of match game that is a major issue as well.
i count 25 new weapons definitely havent seen the raid pool yet and theres definitely some cool new perks theres certainly gaps. i would be interested in martyrs retribution in other elements. buffs to scouts, RLs, and LFs to make them worth seeking out legendary trace rifles would be neat

I'd love a buff to scouts, but people have been asking for that since Y1. At this point, just take scouts out of the game if you aren't going to make them viable.
I haven't played in forever, so then what would be the best option to pair with an SMG? I always like having one range, one near.
i use witherhoard because most of the time a ranged weapon isnt necessary. it is it then i'll use izanagi. new shotgun may be good but i havent tried it. perfect paradox, ikelos sniper, truthteller with blinding grenades. ruinous effigy is probably fine too.

Almost done with the season pass. The update surely has plenty of flaws but it is nice to have a bunch of stuff to do quest wise. Finally got my god roll long shadow (appended mag, rapid hit, triple tap) and it is nasty.
Lol right. I'm like 17 I think. But honestly haven't been playing as much as I usually would with a new content update. Crucible is basically unplayable for me with stasis. Just hate what it's done in there. And yes, load times on PS5 are insane. I'm in the tower in like 5 seconds.
Almost done may be a slight exaggeration, I’m like level 70. Had full bounties on all 3 characters to start with and I pretty much constantly grind bounties every activity I’m in.
My highest possible light is like 1235 and that’s with no glory grinding. Basically all the streamers that have super high light levels have just been grinding comp.
ive been quite pleased with the amount of content in beyond light so far. and there will be even more on tuesday. i just need the return of srl tbh. i think tuesday will bring another set of weapons so maybe aussie will have something to grind for there. plus the raid will be another set of weapons.
Nah, you can see everything in the database on light.gg right now. There's not much at all. Like 2 weapons from the season pass and 3 more from the Hunts or whatever they're called. And none of them look exciting outside if the void waveframe grenade launcher.
there's always a set of weapons from the season vendor so i'd be surprised if uldren/crow have have only the 3-4 currently listed. raid weapons arent listed so its possible season weapons arent there either beyond the ones that are quest rewards
It says where they come from in the database. They have the same aesthetic as the ones in the pass. So including those two there is like 6 total and out of those the smg and nade launcher are the only two that really excite me at all.
lets go over them real quick. 1. i think we can all agree the tube launcher is appealing. the curated roll lists prox grenades which would be really cool but it isnt listed in the standard perk pool? strange 2. smg can roll some cool stuff but 600 rpm so meh. will still probably go for a few to get a nice roll if that archetype gets buffed. only one perk stands out in slot 3 but slot 4 has a few nice ones. 3. pulse is an energy cold denial with a different perk pool. cold denial is really good so this is probably a worthwhile grind for the new perks. 4. scout rifle is a scout rifle and doesnt even have an interesting perk pool. cant even justify grinding this one in case of future buffs. 5. linear fusion has a somewhat interesting perk pool. like the smg, i'll probably try to get some in case of rebalancing. 6. heavy grenade launcher is really interesting imo. depends on how good chain reaction is on a GL but even if it isnt great you can still do clown cartidge/killing wing and disruption break/wellspring. disruption break seems particularly good. izanagi/ikelos smg/blast battue with disruption break seems like a really good loadout.
So yeah, not much of anything. Damn sure not enough to justify them axing 75% of our old loot. And if you didn't play last year during the seasons you have even less usable loot since there's no way to earn most of that. Sunsetting will be the death of Destiny for me. This is another double primary level fuckup.
eh its not double primary with static rolls bad. i do think they should have handled sunsetting differently. or at least brought back pinnacles since theyd only be usable for a year. they probably could have sunset only old pinnacles and everything would have felt ok. if enough people hate it theyd probably do away with it moving forward.
i think there will be a lot of benefit to being able to grind for these weapons for the rest of the year instead of only this season.
They took too big of a chunk away at once. When I look at my vault I just become discouraged and want to turn the game off. I realize I don't speak for everyone but this is just how I feel about it. It was very poorly done.
Going to give it another try tonight. Friday nights are my gaming night so after work I’ll be on for the night.
