False. The respawn timer is too long. The break between dunks is weird. The lack of a map rotation is ridiculous.
1. the respawn timer is long in pretty much all similar gametypes across all gaming. usually its a wave spawn with a long timer so you can easily score with a team kill. 2. i dont disagree with that one. 3. thats not a complaint about rift itself, just this current IB
True, it’s the implementation, not the game mode. I also only played as a single, didn’t try the normal Playlist.
Rift in D1 was amazing. It was fun and fast paced. This is a slow paced slog. It's not terrible but it needs a lot of work.
So the starfire build works when you have either a ton of ads or a boss the best? I was messing with it yesterday and I don’t have 3 of the mods suggested from the splicer see it or for wells but I noticed during the strike with either board my rift was usually charged and my fusion grenades weren’t far behind.
As long as you can do damage while standing in a well or empowering rift you will have grenades to toss. It's a pretty strong build.
I guess that’s where all the well mods come into play. This is the list I found. I have the melee wellmaker but that’s it Explosive Wellmaker Elemental Ordnance Melee Wellmaker Well of Life Momentum Transfer
That's not what I run but I do use explosive and elemental. I would check Ada daily. She sells all of those on a rotation.
I run explosive, elemental, bountiful wells, seeking wells, and font of might to boost my gun damage. Seeking isn't necessary but it's just an ease of use thing for me. I had to drop seeking since I unlocked classy restoration and I don't have room for it now.
I’m not sure if I have it built correct or missing out on mods, but my grenades don’t seem to really charge any faster in a class rift. My rift recharges really fast but not the grenades. In my well super then it’s grenades for days.
And witherhoard with Calus mini? I have osteo and noticed it grants a lot towards the next rift inside the rift
Pretty sure I just played a game where the rift disappeared and never came back. Luckily we were already up 2-0. Last few minutes was just clash.
i wouldn't mind rift if everyone else would actually defend the runner. drives me nuts that people don't always run together.
why does every match end up like 5-0 or 5-1 in rift? its literally never 5-3 or 5-4 or anything close, always super lopsided. seems like terrible matchmaking.
That’s the general state of all crucible now and for a while. Matchmaking screws over middle of the road and poor players so the elite can stomp and have fun. Plus if you run into clans in IB it’ll be a wash.
I go on runs of enjoying going into rumble to get my pinnacles or grind crucible rank and just tanking by running around carelessly and ending up with a K/D of like 0.4 or something. Once someone gets to 15 I intentionally try to find the top player to feed them and get the match over sooner. I’m an awful person. I don’t do that in team based stuff, but I also don’t give two shits. If they’re going to keep matching me up against players so crazily above my skill level in the casual PVP mode I’m not going to care if I play awful.
Rift as a concept/game mode is fine but the implementation has left a lot to be desired. The matches are FAR too long and need to be reduced from 10 minutes to 7 and the score from 5 to 4. Plus they need to add a mercy rule if the score gets to 3-0. The reset at the end of each round could be sped up significantly too. Like a lot of the other shit they've shipped over the last 3 years it seems unfinished and buggy.

My thoughts on rift -respawn needs to be reduced by like 3 seconds -freelance was a shit show with no one playing as a team -getting spawned 150m away from the objective when the enemy team is close to dunking feels real bad -fun mode when running as a stack and everyone is chill and on the same page -close rift matches while rare feel way more fun/intense than close control matches -I don't want to pvp again for a hot minute
I ran it a bit but couldn't really get invested this week for whatever reason. I do think it's not as bad as the initial reaction but needs a bit of fine tuning.
They actually stated this in the pre season patch notes but for whatever reason it didn't make it in until now. It's mostly a change to how roaring flames work with certain exotics.

Finally got my solo flawless Duality completed. I think of the dozen or so attempts I died to something other than getting physics’d into a wall/exploding bellkeeper backpack just chilling on the ground maybe once. So fucking aggravating.
I keep running into a weird bug where when I shoot the bell I just die. Not when I'm in the nightmare realm and trying to come back and need to stand in the circle. When I'm trying to go in. Mostly happens on the second encounter but has happened on the final encounter. I just threw my hands up for now. Can't take another run failing due to something completely out of my control. And then add in the other times when some bullshit physics happens or a backpack blows up and I'm over it for now. Which class did you do it on?
