The raid itself is a lot of fun. Lots of different mechanics and everyone has a job to do at pretty much every encounter. The problem is Bungie’s approach to the raid loot. The loot drops are terribly low, and there are only like 2 weapons that are even viable if you even happen to get one. The armor is just cosmetic and doesn’t give any kind of cool perks. I’d still get on to do the raid, just because it’s fun. But it doesn’t look like anyone has any interest in it.
The raid is one of the better ones with the exception of a lack of boss fights. It still manages to be fun the first few times you do it but once you've got all the weapons you're kind of done. The Prestige version has no value at all
I'm going out of town for a week and a half, so I won't really be around to do it, but the raid is good to experience but not to bang your head against and certainly not to grind. It'd be about the only reason I'd do any ps4 Destiny right now until the expansion (I can still level my pc characters, so there's incentive to play there), but it sounds like we'll still have reason to do the raid after the expansion so hopefully we'll get enough folks around again to run it some then.
never. after hitting 305 i haven't done anything on ps4. but i'm sure dabut or others are still on from time to time. and i'm down for a raid if i'm free, just need to know when.
The token system isn’t the problem, the rewards are the problem, same as the raid. Getting identical guns over and over with no chance at rare exotics is boring.
i don't mind tokens really, other mmos have used the same kind of system pretty well, but i should be able to buy a rotating stock of gear with them. 50 tokens and idk 20k glimmer for x weapon or something like that. using them to level is pretty dumb
So I bought this during psn black friday sale and never played the 1st one. Whatim trying to say is i have no idea what to do
is anyone actually excited for osiris? i feel like all the excitement has been sucked out of this game by reddit, the lack of players lately, the previews saying the expansion is mediocre, etc.
and no actual announcements to gameplay, right? like what are they doing to make the end game worth it? once you get a gun, there's no point in getting another. thought the faction rallies were dumb cause it was just constant shaders. end game is really bad for this one.
I’m not excited for it like I was for expansions on D1, but I’m definitely gonna play it. I hope they do something with the mods since it doesn’t look like they are going to do anything with the guns themselves. Like have stability mods, reload mods, firefly mods, etc. for guns instead of +5 attack mods that do literally nothing as far as damage goes. The armor situation is a mess. The only reason to get armor is if you are some sort of obsessive collectionist and want full sets of the different gear. Which is kind of pointless since the vault is so limited. Who knows what they are going to do, but I don’t hold out much hope with the direction they’ve already taken with this game.
They made a game tailored to the people that can plan 10-15 hour a week without providing anything for the hardcore players. So most of the online community burned thru the entire game in about 3 weeks
Which I don't understand at all. The loudest voices from D1 were the ones that were asking for more content, not the ones asking for a more casual experience. The game was wildly popular and they took the sequel in the opposite direction of what the majority of the fanbase was asking for. It's so disappointing
I really think they tried to go the CoD direction with minimal PvE content and everything based around a competitive PVP that would carry the game. Instead they somehow broke that too.
Yea it fucking sucks now. I had such high hopes cause the story was so much better in this one. I only get online to see if y’all are there and if I’m bored.
I think overall it's a great game it just doesn't have the staying power of destiny 1. It's got a bit more endgame than something like a last of us or something, but after you blow through that stuff you eventually move to the next game vs something like Diablo where you are always grinding and enjoying it. Still gate crucible when compared to destiny 1 though. And the events are terrible. Hopefully noseworthy and luke smith announce some good fixes here this week.
I just really hate that there's no point in grinding. You can damn near buy all the exotics, you can't get different rolls on anything. Yet I'll still play it cause I know as soon as I jump back into Skyrim or something I'll spend hours on those games and not accomplish anything.
what's telling to me is the fact that even the twitch community has moved on. the top twitch streamers dont really stream it anymore, they're all playing fortnite. the only constant D2 streams are PvP gods.
I’ll be on tonight grinding to get the spicy ramen emote before it goes away forever, if anyone else gets on and wants to do anything.
