I'm just on hiatus because of RDR but the game is in a great state in my opinion. Be really interesting to see what happens with Black Armory. And Destiny 2 was the number 2 selling game of '17 and is number 6 so far in '18. Activision is ridiculous. Not everyone can be Fortnite.
it's in the usual lull between content releases. It's probably in the best place from a content perspective ever. Their updates are still too slow, but Bungie's done a great job turning this thing around.
Agreed, but they'd be better off letting Activision destroy destiny (more than they already have) much like they did with microsoft/halo. Go do basically the same shit but with a different publisher. Not EA, not Ubi.
Its underperforming and activision is gonna get more involved. Probably with micro transactions. Destiny never needed a sequel. It needed to be updated with small and large content drops for as long as they planned on having the franchise. If they did that they’d have kept a number of the playebase that left more engaged. This dropping sequels business while hitting the reset button on things they accomplished is just ridiculous. If they kept Destiny going with 49.95 season passes updated every 6 months and annual to biannual 49.95 expansions and just focused on updating content for the original game they’d have a gigantic and satisfied player base. Instead, they have something they’re dissatisfied with. Something a lot of us consider too untrustworthy to return to
i enjoyed the latest update, but since RDR2 came out i havent gone back. when is their next big update due to drop? they might get people to return once they beat RDR2, but once Online is activated they'll lose people again.
Probably early December. Reveal is suposupp to be soon. RDR Online will depend a lot on what sort of content there is and how it's structured. I was never a big fan of GTA online. I've been waiting for nearly 9 years for RDR2 so I am taking my sweet time with it. But I will be back on Destiny soon. Still lots of things to chase and and a new raid lair soon. Not to mention I haven't got any of the stuff I want from Last Wish yet.
I've been playing this on PC for the last 3 hours or so, since the base game was given away during some date range and I added it. I played the beta also. It still feels really good and it's optimized really well. I could see myself playing it quite a bit and enjoying it. I hate jumping puzzles but we'll see what happens
D2 has definitely polarized a lot of D1 players. Most of us who regularly played together left the game earlier this year. I’m not sure what it has to offer a solo player nowadays. lazy bum might be able to offer more perspective.
Nothing. I haven’t done a single raid because making new online game friends is weird to me so I can’t really participate in any of the game’s main things. So once I complete the storyline there’s really nothing left to look forward to
there's a lot of tools on LFG. asking for so many requirements for you to join, yet they're looking for help as well. "must be a hunter, must run this class, must run these weapons, blah blah blah"
try the100.io, I've had more success finding good groups there. People advertise sherpa runs where they're intentionally trying to take people through raids that haven't done them yet and need to learn.
LFG is ridiculous. Must have 100 clears, must have 1k voices, etc and they have never even ran the damn thing.
What is this wizardry? Haven't done a nightfall or raid in ages cause none of yall are on PS4 anymore.
Randomly had some exotic rocket launcher called the two tailed fox drop for me the other day. Its fun but slow and doesnt seem to have a high damage rate.
I keep thinking how much fun gambit would be with our old group. Sending Boyd Crowder or You or lazy bum or any of the other guys good at PvP to invade the other team would be so much fun to watch.
funny you mention that, I was looking at my gambit stats this weekend and I've only invaded 4 times ever and those were on accident because the boss or a taken centurion booped me into the portal on accident. I usually let others do it. it's a fun mode, but the catch up mechanic makes it broken right now. You can be leading the entire round and the other side will kill their boss in 3 seconds. Still worth doing for drops, but I don't go into it for wins anymore.
Our team has roles. I run chaos reach warlock and basically kill mobs and boss damage. We have a guy that's a pretty good invader. I was playing with a random yesterday that was incredible. Had 22 invasion kills. Team wiped them 3 different times.
I get random matched all the time with people who may only invade (and suck at) or just try and bank as many motes as possible and never deposit them before either dying or the other team killing their boss. So many matches where the other team summons a prime and we are sitting at like 15 motes.
Randoms always seem to go for 15 motes and die from the invader or blockers or any number of other things. It's aggravating. We are on PS4 if anyone ever wants to play some. We do just about everything in the game except for high level PvP stuff. I'm just not good enough for that.
yeah, when we're teamed up we split into roles but even then sometimes things get frustrating with catch ups, especially with the Synthoceps glitch right now. Of course, we use that glitch to our advantage, too.
I haven't ran into it much. There was a couple of times where the team just burned down the prime evil instantly but overall not bad. The catch up isn't as bad now with them lowering the slayer stacks the trailing team gets.
I'll message you next time I'm on. It's been every infrequent lately although I'm trying to knock out those new strike and gambit bounties. But 40 gambit matches is so many.
I've finished the Breakneck. It's really good. It just chews through red bar enemies. I got the Malfeasance quest while I was doing it so I was able to knock out both at once so that was good.
I’m usually on playing this or Black Ops. I’m only a level 515 with my hunter and haven’t even completed the story with my other two characters. Just haven’t been feeling the grind and just been enjoying the new Black Ops is all. I’m laid up off work for at least another month so just hit me up.
There are a couple of ways. One you get as a random drop in the Blind Well. The other you can get by completing the Dreaming City quest for the doing blind well during a full curse week or beating the first encounter of the raid.
Has to be at least tier 2 in Blind Well. But that's easy enough. It's a full curse week right now until reset tomorrow so a good time to go in and and get one of them and a good chance to get both.
Now it's Queensbreaker instead of Sleeper. The problem is the wallhacks. Any linear fusion rifle is a problem the way invasions work now. Queensbreaker isn't quite as bad as Sleeper but still bad.
