900 on all 3, about to start power grinding with my third all the way back to the main so hopefully will be fairly high for the raid.
does the game open up more after hitting 900? i thought i heard something about powerful engrams unlocking then. also... what do you do after the campaign? it seemed like a short campaign and then we have a few quests like "do the nightfall" but after that it seems like we got vex invasions and the raid to look forward to and that's it for 35 bucks. am i missing a big chunk of content? i just don't know what to do at this point in the game...
There is an exotic quest you can get from Eris but yeah, it seems kind of light. Granted they are doing the drip feed thing so we still have the dungeon and all that coming as well. The fact we are year 3 and still have never got a refresh on crucible loot is BS though. Overall I'm fairly disappointed so far. Also not sure I like the changes they have made to the sandbox.
perhaps i'm undervaluing the QoL adjustments, but this seems no larger than curse of osiris or warmind. i'm just surprised its not forsaken level or something. i guess i just expected there to be more to do the moment the campaign ended but seems like all i have are weapons quests at the moment and i'd rather get into new activities like a blind well or something, rather than wait until they unlock those things.
Is this the earliest they've released a raid? Isn't it out this weekend? Maybe they just want people to grind light level to be raid ready? Tho it seems the only way to get your level is grind old stuff, since there really isn't any new activities outside the campaign. It's also shitty getting the same old ass weapons again. No thanks to 100 edge transits as my reward. People already have god rolls, why would they want new ones?
i'm 888 so hopefully it opens up a bit at 900 with the powerful drop options, but yeah currently i have no incentive to do nightmare things or any other new content because more or less it's old.
I'm not even sure I like the armor changes yet. Just seems like a stealth way to nerf certain builds. I'm still using all of my old armor because it takes an insane amount of materials to level up a piece of gear. And like I said the sandbox just doesn't feel that good to me right now. Especially in crucible. They nerfed hand cannon range into the ground.
Once you hit 900 it unlocks a bunch of power drops from the usual places. Strikes, Gambit, crucible, etc.
All that said, more stuff opened up in Forsaken after people beat the raid. I wouldn't be surprised if that happened again.
Im loving it. New sandbox is great. I want drip fed content not 10 hours of campaign at release that i have to play through 3 times. Bc lets be real, campaigns in things usually suck, we're all here for what happens after. That final cutscene is the best one in destiny history tho
After looking at their release calendar, I do like the idea of weekly releases. Gives those of us who can only play a couple hours/night, a chance to stay even with those who can put in more time. Just hope they include some new weapons with these releases, other than a new exotic.
That's the only problem. There isn't much after right now. Just go back to doing the same shit I've been doing for two years getting the same loot I've been getting for two years. It's a bit stale.
Then play a different game. Lot of mmos out there. The end game here will always be the same except one or two activites will rotate in and out. Would a new set of crucible stuff be nice? Sure, but i dont expect that to happen until a season focused on crucible (S9). The raid is out tomorrow. S8 stuff starts up in a couple of weeks. We wont have anything to do in a month if we have it all to do today.
They just continue to ignore the core activities of this game and it's getting old. We got new crucible weapons every year in D1 and here I am still looking at the fucking Better Devils in year 3. This was more tolerable when there were pinnacle weapons but there is nothing at all to chase now in crucible. Plus only a handful of new exotics? This feels more like a season pass thing with a few cutscenes tossed in. Not a full blown expansion like it was made out to be. But you can be damn sure Eververse gets a full refresh every season.
Theyve been saying for months they arent really doing anything for crucible with this season. I dont know why youre surprised.
I'm not surprised. Just sick of it. It just got worse since I've discovered how bare bones this expansion really is.
For ~$25 you get the moon, new armor and weapons set, a couple of exotics, new raid, nightmare hunts (many of which havent been released yet) Seems about right
I think the "issue" is that it WILL be worth it in a few weeks when there's more activities, but right now it's pretty bare. Imagine a lot of people's opinions will change tomorrow, once the raid is here, and they'll really want to level up to complete it (if they haven't already, and if it's a good raid).
Yeah, I think it's probably my fine. But then ignoring crucible for basically the life of Destiny is just bubbling over for me. And the shit they do change I hate.
So powerful rewards no longer drop from doing specific activities, ie strikes/crucible matches? They changed it to drops from doing bounties for said vendor?
Theres both. The crucible ones and whatnot show up when you hit 900 i think. No more dailies but more weeklies.
Yeah, it’s 900 but some of mine didn’t show up until 901 for some reason. Wasn’t from my artifact, either, that’s been 4-5 since I got close to 900.
Ah ok, thanks. Hit 800, have read not to get powerfuls until 900. So just grind strikes, crucible, public events, moon cheese until I hit 900?
If I download the digital copy will my stuff all transfer over? My PlayStation will no longer play disks
Just got shadow keep after not playing since year 1. Do I need forsaken too? Have the first two expansions.
