i was tearing through IB last night with Night Watch scout and blast furnace pulse. On my fusion rifle kills pinnacle, think i'll try out jotunn for that. Loaded Question and Erentil next up if that doesn't work well. I'm not a fusion user, so should i use something else? how's the IB fusion?
I usually run night stalker. Think I was just trying to hurry up and get some super kills for my last daily bounty. Also, have you always had to complete the IB bounty before you could accept engrams from coins?
nope, thats new. probably because people were turning in tokens while never doing the quest so armor doesnt get added to the loot pool making it easy to farm for specific weapons
yeah, it's frustrating but kinda makes me want to get to a higher level. i think the highest level i've seen is 961 or 962. crazy.
Same here. Was trying to get a good roll on a Swarm and with armor 2.0 coming it seemed like a waste of time.
so i was reading you basically need to get 20 or 30 smg kills after fusion rifle and the last few steps auto complete due to bugs in the quest line, is that correct? if so i might just have to do this on all characters this week. much easier than last iron banner quest.
the primevil healing mechanic in gambits is kinda frustrating. my team had a huge lead because most of the other team quit, then they had high level people join and they just smoked us during invasions. ended up losing.
Very Try to stick with gambit prime though. The boss damage phases are in a much more controlled environment without adds, the matches are one round rather than three, and it has better weapons.
yeah this was gambit prime. problem was we had the primevil summoned and they had like <10 motes. They kept summoning the 10-15 mote adds, coupled with the envoys and their invasions...it was just too much.
I really hate the catch up mechanic of Gambit. It's over done. Gambit as a whole needs some major overhauls to be a good mode but probably won't happen.
I just used the fusion I got as a reward for the previous step and used it like a shotgun. Once I figured out to get really close for a one shot I finished it in two games
Biggest key to the fusions for me is precharging it when I see red on the radar around the corner. But Jotunn is a great option, too.
You get tier 2 from hawthorne, gambit, and vex invasions You get tier 3 from ikora You get pinnacle from nightfall, iron banner, and raids Seems even to me
So I’m only a 908 and everything I need to finish quests requires a fire team. How do they expect you to level up at all past 900?
Man, ive been grinding that quest all week. Currently on the rare bounty step. Luckily i had one drop this morning, so only 8 more forges then i can go do shattered throne or something
does anyone have a guide or website that shows what equipment should be dismantled? pretty much hoarding all my legendaries but i'm sure most of them could be dismantled.
i'll do my best here...first its important to know not all hand cannons can roll the same stuff. not all 150 rpm hand cannons can roll the same stuff. if you want to know what a specific gun can roll, check out its page on light.gg and you can see everything. could help you put together a better picture. it certainly did for me. in general most perks that are good are good on everything. hand cannons: things to look for: range if on pc, stability if on console. reload perks are always good (drop mag, outlaw, etc), as well as increased damage (kill clip, rampage, etc). handling stuff like opening shot and snapshot are always good for crucible. demolitionist is a lot of fun too. rangefinder is great on everything. 110s: generally suck, you can safely delete them all, keep something with good perks if you want 140s/150s: pretty good archetypes all around 180s: not popular on pc but still pretty solid pulse rifles: reload, damage, etc etc. headseeker sucks a lot. zen moment can be useful. stability and range are king again. rapid fire frames are top notch high impact frames are also pretty good everything in between is fine scout rifles: looking for a lot of the same perks as hand cannons, and most other weapons really. same shit is always good. the faster they fire the more relevant stability becomes. bows: love em. archers tempo is great. they mostly serve the same purpose as scouts. theres some unique perks here like sneak bow. not really a bad roll possible. smgs: stability, range, damage stuff, reload stuff, et. surrounded is really neat. auto rifles: same as smgs, they just arent as good sidearms: all of them are god rolls but all of them should be deleted. not viable. snipers: if the gun can roll firing line, you want it. field prep is always useful. aggressive frame snipers can one shot supers in crucible, adaptive frame ones are most popular for pve, rapid fire are most popular for pvp. shotguns: damage, reload, etc archetype doesnt matter a ton. higher impact is better for pvp, but not necessarily for pve. best shotgun perk in the game is one two punch, gambit prime and moon shotguns can both roll it. trench barrel is great on slower firing shotguns. shotguns are great in general. tube grenade launchers: kind of stupid guns, but if youre grinding the mountaintop quest then they are necessary. fusion rifles: controversial weapons, but i absolutely love them high impact frames are most popular, but i prefer the reliability of precision frames perks like backup plan, under pressure, high impact reserves all work well for pvp. rangefinder is good. i personally use a main ingredient with under pressure and rangefinder. if you want a pve fusion, just grind out that loaded question quest. its insane. solid in crucible as well. rocket launchers all legendaries suck. but.. tracking module and cluster bomb are good. i always hang on to really good rolls on out of meta weapons because this shit changes. linear fusion: all suck. but same thing applies to them as hand cannons, scouts, and snipers swords: about as relevant as sidearms. i dont even know what their perks do. the black armory one can roll surrounded. grenade launchers: kings of dps you want a 150 rpm with spike grenades. outrageous fortune from vanguard, swarm of the raven from iron banner, love and death from the moon. love and death can also roll with full court which makes it the best possible GL. field prep is also top tier. i cant stress enough how good 150s with spike grenades are. you also want to use the first column to get blast radius as low as possible. as far as masterworks go, range is always good, and stability is good when it makes sense. velocity good on launchers. and with mods, i'm a targetting adjuster whore, but minor/major/boss specs are useful for certain guns and counterbalance can be really useful. backup mag is a good one too. not saying all the others are useless, just what i always lean towards.
Extremely helpful, thanks. do you dismantle stuff that’s like 20+ level lower unless it’s a good roll, and only keep that for crucible? I feel like I can dismantle most of the legendary armor too. I’m basically just trying to increase my light level, don’t even bother to mod or upgrade armor right now.
I'll generally keep any top tier roll for most guns. I honestly dont even pay attention to power level that much. But you only need so many god roll go figures. Im 950 and still have some 920s in rotation that i just havent been bothered to upgrade. A 30 point drop like that is only 4 or so overall power drop and most of the time thats not a big deal. As far as armor goes, i have no idea yet. Ive just been keeping everything with high stat totals. I'll figure it out later. I have been upgrading certain pieces because mods are supremely helpful.
If you find a particular archetype of gun you really like just ask the thread which ones are the best and where to find them. Did you buy any dlc or are you still doing f2p?
Im guessing fusion rifle I had a hard time with the fusion rifle quest for the iron banger but the exotic fusion rifle that has exploding bullets worked really well for me.
