I’ve been pretty much playing daily... back to my old grind just without a normal squad of people so I end up just picking up bounties to try and run through the season rewards. Still not 100% on a lot of the mess going on since I’m trying to catch up on 3-6 seasons worth of content but so far I can’t complain. they did reduce the number of seraph tower runs needed to complete the community challenge and it seems to be moving pretty nicely since doing so. If I happen to hop onto the moon/EDZ and there is one going I jump in to assist. I probably need to focus on upgrading my bunker, though. I’ve barely touched it.
I think what has hindered me to most lately is my piss poor mod collection. Aside from burning myself out on strikes and buying them randomly from banshee I don’t know if any other way to really build those up?
Iron Banner is a good way to get enhanced mods. They drop fairly regularly from packages. Unfortunately I think this is the last one of the season. I ran a raid today for the first time in a while. Riven still won't give me 1k voices that bitch. Had a lot of fun.
what makes me feel really old is that I haven’t run a raid since King’s Fall back in D1. After that is when I stopped playing until D2 first came out, but even then I didn’t make it to the first raid before I stopped playing again.
I did lfg today. I used to have a large group but I'm last man standing for now unfortunately. Hoping they come back for the fall expansion.
from what I can tell raids in D2 are much different than D1. In D1 the raid specific weapons were beastly... getting primary weapon drops that did void, fire, or arc damage was key to being able to handle the nightfalls more effectively which led to a better avenue for the strike and nightfall specific drops as well as better exotic drop chances. Now? Definitely not the case. Most exotics are behind lengthy quests and the nightfalls are so much more “complicated” with mod requirements to defeat certain boss types in the elevated difficulties. hell, I miss taking my gjallahorn/icebreaker combo and as many synths as I could carry and soloing nightfall raids in D1.

No worries... I’ve got plenty to keep me occupied for the moment, just wouldn’t be bad to have someone around down the line for some of the new stuff coming up.
I made the jump to pc and I’m always down to help out with whatever so hit me up if we have any pc folks.
Also, running ultra settings with this field of view is just a completely different game. The laptop I bought has the RTX 2060 so I usually keep around 120-140 fps on the highest settings. The difference in inventory, menu and load times is really hard to express unless you’ve spent a lot of time with it on console.
I’m maxed out and have done everything you can do on my original 3 so I started a new character just because I’m bored and wanted to run through everything again. I don’t really know how to use lfg and chat for pc. I have my discord for my Xbox clan and I know there pc lfg discords but I’m not exactly sure how all that works on pc.
honestly its much easier. theyll post their firetime id and what theyre doing, you copy it into chat, then you do the thing.
Im a total newb on pc gaming, where do you copy the fire team Id to? And does that just automatically join you into that fireteam
just into the chat box. as long as theres room in the fireteam you just paste, hit enter, then it joins. its very simple.
Ok one more dumb question , once I join the fireteam is there voice chat supported in game or do you have to go through something else
there is in game voice chat but ive still had a frw groups say "hey lets hope in someones discord". usually, however, people wont do voice chat if its something simple like heroic seasonal activity. so as long as you have discord to join the lfg groups to find there fireteam IDs you will have all you need.
lot of youtubers have their own discords with lfg sections. theres pc lfg only discords. so yeah, destiny and discord is all you will really need.
I'm hoping console performance gets a big boost with the PS5. All my friends play on console and I don't want to deal with the cheating on PC.
I pretty much only play pvp to the extent I have to for seasonal weapons or achievements I want so I don’t worry about the cheating too much, I mostly just raid. Plus I still use a controller for pc so I’d get shredded against m/k even without the cheaters.
its a shame im spending 6 weeks of this season traveling. i was totally definitely going to do all of the interesting stuff.
I do but never go out of my way to complete one. If it gets done then cool, but otherwise no worries.
Haven’t touched this in weeks and don’t miss it one bit. This season was the culmination of so many shitty decisions and woefully underwhelming content updates dating back to the Shadowkeep release. I have 0 faith that next months release (if we even get one) will be any different.
I think this season they were banking on Trials bringing everybody back. Trials and the loot pool is terrible, and I believe they lost players each week. The towers were absolutely terrible. People enjoyed the matchmaking events, why put the towers in their place? The bunkers were annoying, to me. The requirement of using specific weapons for overload, barrier, stagger was a huge miss, IMO. Couldn't use exotics, forced to use HC's or whatever play style Bungie imposed.
Agree. I understand that the PVP element had largely been neglected but to release a season that was, outside of the umpteenth version of the same public event activity, solely PVP focused was a MASSIVE MISTAKE. Especially when you consider just how shitty the overall state of the game is. 3 months with almost nothing for 80+% of the player base is borderline negligent decision making by Smith & Co. The whole “play the way you want, customize however you like” has proven to be total bullshit and things are more restrictive now with the sun setting of weapons and armor on the horizon.

An exotic yes. But that eliminates 98% of exotic primaries which is just bad game design. If they don't fix that in the fall it will probably be the final nail in the coffin for me with weapon sunsetting already taking most of my arsenal. That's on top of primaries being shit in D2 right now. The rumor is the fall expansion is going to be what they were working on to be D3. But since there is no D3 they are bringing it into D2. If that is the case it should be pretty substantial but my confidence in Bungie is at an all time low.
Erianas has barrier, Devil's Ruin has stagger I believe along with the heavy how. Divinity has overload. I think that is it.
It wasn't even that much PvP to be honest. If was reused Trials assets from D1. Didn't even get a full suite of weapons. It was half asses all around.
I don't remember now but I'm positive they removed it. They said it was a mistake that it was on there.
