Probably, but depending on what Atlanta does I think it may ultimately have gotten easier. If Atlanta goes QB at 4, the chances Sewell or Pitts is there at 7 are much higher. And I think Sewell and Pitts might both bring back more in a trade from a team in love with what they believe might be an elite talent than Mac Jones would.
This also increases the odds, even if it’s slightly, that Fields or Lance could fall to us at 7. I doubt we would draft either at this point but it’s not crazy to consider.
If a team without a franchise QB has what they believe to be a franchise QB “fall in their lap” and pass on him, everyone in the front office should be put to sleep.
I'm in on that, although I would prefer a 2 this year to another 1 next year. I probably shouldn't, but I'm currently invested in this draft and would like to see us be able to take a few more starter-level players.
