Where are we going to find more weapons for Goff now?
Campbell is dead on, but also I dream of a world where Campbell is running up scores on people.
I liked Stafford a lot and wish he was still here. I'm not rooting against him by any means. It does make me feel at least a bit better that he's basically still the exact same guy he was here, though. If he had gone to LAR and immediately stopped doing the stupid shit that drove me nuts for a decade and became Aaron Rodgers, I would not have enjoyed that.
Yep, totally agree.
100%. It makes me laugh that the Rams are getting the same Stafford experience we got.
I've actually been kinda impressed with Campbell as a play caller, especially given the roster limitations and injuries. I don't expect him to continue to do it next year, but I think the experience will help him as a HC.
It's hard to know what to make of a playcaller or coach when the expectations are this low.
I think he's been fine since awful November stretch where the QBs were either hurt or horrible, but I hope he hires someone good and he stops doing it.
Let’s start talking draft. We’re taking QB at #2 right? I’ve see. Kenny Pickett as high as #3 on some mocks
A lot of QBs are going to be at the Senior Bowl (Pickett, Howell, Willis, Ridder) so if we coach that game and don’t take a QB in the first round, we probably really hated this class.
What if Houston offered us Watson for #2? I have zero desire to ever root for Watson, and I doubt such a move is even possible financially anyway, but knowing the Lions this will fall into our lap and my fandom will be tested.
houston would never do that. But Lions would have to take that if offered.
Not sure a woman owner would want to sign off on that one.
she kept Patricia around.
I don't want us to trade for him if it only cost us a 7th rounder. Fuck that guy.
I hope it never gets to that point
I don't think the situations are very similar, but fair point.
I think the most likely scenario is we pick whichever edge guy is left at 2, and then use the Rams first to trade up for Corral or Pickett. Trading up scares me a ton because I’m not sold on any of these guys and we don’t have much draft capital this year, so we might end up trading both Rams firsts to make a deal happen.
lions are not taking Hutchinson at #2.
Would love to see it just for the sake of your melty.
I have no clue what's going to happen in the next few months, but I think the top 5 looks a lot different on draft night than the internet gurus are suggesting now. And one change I think is going to happen is either Jameson Williams or Garrett Wilson is in the top 5 convo, on top of at least one of the QBs jumping into that range.
The more I think about it, the more I’m fine with taking a QB at 2, if the team believes in the guy. I would rather that than trading a bunch of picks to get back into the top 10 I think.
so you want the Lions to make a poor selection at #2? Pretty strange.
We have 2 firsts, a second, 2 thirds, a fifth, 2 sixths and a seventh.
The Bears traded two firsts plus other picks to get from 20 to 9
It's the Lions. What does it matter? Might as well have a hilarious sideshow.
I don’t want them to but I expect them to. They’re going to pick Hutchinson and it will result as most Lions picks do
If the lions pick Hutchinson he’ll be a bust. If someone else does he’ll be a 6 time pro bowler.
If Rodgers tears his ACL today, I’ll celebrate like we won the Super Bowl.
Jags have an early lead. I’ve already convinced myself I want to pick second so I am not sure I can handle a Jags win.
Fox made the best throw by a Lion all season and it was dropped.
Let’s put Fox at QB for a series
Fox needs more weapons
What a play
We need to fire Theo Speight this off-season. Get rid that stupid song.
McNeill is really coming on as a player
Getting 4-5 players out of the first class is pretty fantastic and makes me way more optimistic about the next couple seasons.
Goff seems more confident these days. So what I’m trying to say is give him an extension.
Lol St. Brown can’t be covered
We get it Fox. His parents are at the game today.
When was the last draft where that could be said?
I think Blake Griffin’s parents are also there as guests of the St. Brown’s.
I actually think 2020 was decent (somewhat defeating my point about the FO) with the masssive exception of Okudah. Swift, Jackson, Okwara, and Penisini are all at least NFL players.
Lol Lions and Jags are both going to win today
Barnes almost made a helluva play there, considering he got lined up on a WR
jags are not going to win.
