Rodriguez is my favorite defensive player at OSU in a long time. Short, but super reliable. Hope he can stick around. He was also incredible in kickoff coverage as a true freshman.
Took James Houston, an LB/Edge from Jackson State. Haven’t seen much on him but this stuck out The linebacker ran a 4.7 40-yard dash, a solid number for his position. He also showed off a vertical jump of 39 inches and a broad jump of 10.5. His jump numbers and short runs were amongst the best at the linebacker position.
Looks like he had massive numbers last year. Was a Florida transfer. Seems like he’s an Edge all the way.
Curious to know what he is. The stuff I'm reading makes it sound like he was a LB at UF and moved to OLB/DE at Jackson State and went nuts.
I’m just glad we paid our tribute to the shrine of Coach Prime. May we only be in his good Twitter graces.
Got a 5’11 LB and a 6’0 EDGE. Looks like we’ve reached the “knee cap biter” portion of the draft lmbo
Boyle is the perfect backup QB for a rebuilding team: guaranteed not to fuck up and win a game to crater the draft position.
Lions have 11 CB on their roster now, guy they just drafted in 7th rd is 3rd oldest, with the 2nd oldest only being a month older than him
Still think we are in the 6 to 7 win range. Puts us probably around 10th-12th pick. Thinking we go 2-4 in division then win 4 or 5 of the following games Seattle Washington Jacksonville Miami Philadelphia @NYG @NYJ
My guess on the guys that are currently locks to make the 53: QB: Goff, Boyle (2) RB: Swift, Williams, Cabinda (3) WR: St. Brown, Williams, Reynolds, Chark (4) TE: Hockenson (1) OL: Decker, Sewell, Jackson, Vaitai, Ragnow, Beown, Nelson (7) DL: Brocker, McNeil, Onwuzierke, Hutchinson, R. Okwara, Harris, Paschel (7) LB: Anzalone, Barnes, Board (3) DB: Oruwaryie, Okudah, Melinfonwu, Parker, Jacobs, Hughes (6) S: Walker, Elliott, Joseph, Harris (4) ST: Patterson, Fox, Daly (3) That’s probably on the high end, and guys like Okwara and Jacobs are probably going to end up on the PUP list. That said, the roster is much more solidified now than last year, that’s for sure. Offense looks fine, but outside of the DL, the rest of the D is still very light. I feel good about our coaches getting the DB play in a decent spot, but LB is still a massive red flag.
So the Freep [edit]beattroll[edit] writer for the Lions, Carlos Monarrez, seems like an asshole. He wrote a petulant bitch of a column about the Lions not drafting a QB today. It seems like he's personally offended.

Another way of looking at the Lions Vikings trade is the Lions used the 34th pick to flip 32 for 12 and 66 for 46. 475 received for 435 on the Rich Hill chart. The 40 points difference is the value of the 95th pick overall. 1640 for 1410 on the 2022 Draft Tek trade value chart. The 230 difference the value of the 70th pick.
Drew Sharp's death was widely celebrated by sports fans. I can't imagine thinking that's the right route.
Comparing it to what it took the Saints to draft Olave is crazy. They essentially gave up a '23 first, '24 second (plus a little more) to get the 16th pick this year. Then traded 16, 98, and 120 to get to 11.
Is that like a coffee shop or something or did he just rent out a space to have his Lions stuff in? Edit - maybe I should have listened with volume on because he says "my shop"
To each their own, but I don't understand the concept of people spending all that money on all this stuff, but settling for a mediocre TV/furniture situation to watch the games. If that's not your number one priority, I'm not sure what we're doing with the man cave.
He appears to run a "nutrition shop". One of those shops where someone buys a bunch of Herballife mixes and then makes "smoothies" for people when they come in. "Want to add a shot of protein or energy?" type of space. So...he rents out a cheap location...buys powder...makes smoothies with a blender.
4. ?????? 5. Profit Who knew ?????? in this equation meant "purchase worthless Lions memorabilia and plaster it on the walls."
All I felt was pain watching that video. The jersey wall is all "hey remember that time we grossly overpaid for a shit QB, or how about the best rb of all time that quit on our asses?!"
We can all hate on Scott Mitchell but the 1995 offense was a precursor to todays offense. Two 1.5k WR, 1k RB and a 4k/32TD QB That team should have won a playoff game. I still can’t believe they gave up 58 to the eagles in the wildcard
