This a random reflection here but here goes: I was the leader of the "fuck us for hiring Jim Caldwell" bandwagon. I was incredulous he was interviewed even if it was a requirement for the Rooney Rule only. The fact he got the job made me apoplectic. I still think he is a shit game manager and I think it's fair to demand he not be brought back if we don't win a playoff game this season. With all that said, the guy is the best Lions coach in my lifetime. And more importantly, he did succeed in the primary reason he was hired, which is to turn Matt Stafford into a borderline elite QB. So while I will continue to bitch about him, I figure I should give him some props.
Martin probably hurt himself playing hoops or something like that. Beat writers think Redfern has a cool story so they pumped him up to the masses.
Redfern has been one of those punters who just sits on a roster waiting to be cut at the end of camp for 3 years. This year he got to be in the league and get a paycheck. I'm assuming that's what Birkett is referring to in terms of people cheering for him. I think the "everyone" part was likely overstating it.
Hey #New York Giants fans. Get ready to suck our dicks. You guys will be 0-2 after tomorrow night. At least you guys have the Knicks to look forward too. Oh wait.....
Wagner was great last week but has been terrible tonight. Robinson is getting the pub because of the penalties, but Wagner is getting abused by JPP.
Start getting on your knees #New York Giants fans. You all will be sucking our dicks in about 60 more minutes,
I'm assuming these outside runs are because they don't think they can block Harrison in the middle, but it's not working. The one run Abdullah broke was because he made a DB miss at the LOS as he turned the corner.
Would like to Reeves-Maybin in there against a team that's not even trying to run it if we're playing 3 LBs.
Trying to stay positive, but our offense is still way too streaky because we can't run it. We go quarters at a time where just getting a 1st down is painful.
