Quinn won’t take Young.
That seems less decent
That's a lot of money. Assuming Jarrod Davis is out and Collins takes his spot.
On some level, I'm glad they realized that LB was a problem last year. Not sure this is the answer, but at least Patricia knows what he's getting. When Collins feels like it, he's still a good player.
When literally every position group has issues, any signing can be viewed as encouraging. But Davis was the worst starting LB in the league for about 2/3 of the season and glad he's done. Another busted pick by Quinn
I’m in favor of the continued unintentional tanking.
He’s the fucking king of taking “safe, high floor” guys and ending up with busts. At least Millen and Mayhew swung for the fences.
This team is going to go 2-14 next year and we will draft the Clemson qb
We're signing DT Nick Williams from the Bears
Adam Caplan broke the Williams news and says we're not done signing DL. That's obvious, but that sounds like we might be close on something else.
another $10 per on career backup?
Seems like the beat writers think DJ Reader to Detroit is very possible. Burke said last night if it's not Reader, they'll likely sign Danny Shelton.
I'd like to see us in on HaHa Clinton-Dix, although the Jimmie Ward contract last night was a bit pricier than I would have expected.
These moves don’t move the needle, other teams making big trades and we’re signing depth and high risk that will be starting next year. Vinegar Strokes how many games do Quinn and Patricia make it next year when they start out 0-4?
What moves were made yesterday that you wish we had made in terms of impact guys?
Hopkins would have been nice for a 2nd rounder, signing Bryon Jones, tradings slay
Fuck the haters. We are going 10-6 with King Mathew healthy again and winning a playoff game
I can see the Hopkins thing, although Houston clearly valued David Johnson much more than anyone else did considering what Diggs ended up going for later in the day.
Agree to disagree on Jones.
I think Slay gets dealt in the next 48 hours to a team that missed out on Jones and/or Harris.
He needs more weapons though
This is a good thing. Worst scenario would be Quinn realizes his job is on the line and does a bunch of short term signings that allow them to sneak into the playoffs. Him taking his usual approach is as close as we can get to guaranteed failure and them being gone after this year.
K you convinced me
Ideally, as we rooting for Brady to Tampa? Seems like that would put every team from 5-7 (Miami, LAC, CAR now with Cam likely getting traded) in play for a trade up if they like Tua or Herbert enough.
I think I like that?
Of course, Chase Daniel has made $35M for his career to start 5 games and throw 220 passes during his career, so who the hell knows if he's actually a decent QB?
Bob Quinn one year too late.
Wouldnt we rather just have a shitty backup that loses every game for us if Stafford goes down to tank like last year?
LETS GO LIONS!
The Sloter era comes to an end
A thousand times yes.
do you guys really think chase daniel is leading us to wins if stafford goes down?
How many backup QBs do you think are leading the Lions to wins if Stafford goes down?
The comments are in regards to paying him anything. Just keep trotting out some rookie like Blaugh
Daniel is going to have a cap number around $3-4M. That's not stopping us from doing anything we want to do.
Enough to fuck our draft position. Nobody here thinks he’s sweet or anything.
In these crazy times its nice that I can rely on the Lions thread to preserve a sense of normalcy by giving up on the season in March.
Seems we may have dodged a bullet here
Because Mills is not good and we were linked to him because the new DC was his position coach.
Is he any good smeegsgreen ?
