We still could fall to 10 I guess. Not sure how SOS looks for Cin and Den
Going from 5 to 10 would be annoying.
So, what's the # 1 need? Seems like we could get an elite DL this year picking where we are.
LB or CB
I'm surprised you didn't say you wanted Haskins.
QB is #3
It doesnt matter whether we have the #1 pick or the 20th pick, I have zero confidence in their ability to evaluate talent. The NFL creates a structure where they attempt to establish parity in their franchises (high draft picks + favorable schedules). It defies fucking logic how this franchise can be so bad for so long.
The Fords will likely raise ticket prices and these fucking idiots will continue to financially support this abortion of a franchise.
We are picking 8th.
Also Pep Hamilton was on the Lions today. Yessss.
Lions Twitter is pretty funny today because Meinke broke his ankle in GB last night and now he’s getting blasted.
We signed Connor Cook today
Vinegar Strokes let's have a look at his sister's boobs
They’re a great set of tits
Cooter to MSU
Other teams? Right. Not NFL teams.
I bet Cooter gets another OC job, and goes on to lead his new team in total offense.
What a shitty list.
Who should we expect?
Probably a lot of personnel turnover, as well as some coaching turnover (especially on offense).
Also, that Michael Lombardi will say he was right no matter how much we change.
Stafford will be getting released.
My hunch is we will see Godsey and the TE coach Chris White go.
Ebron. I’ve been telling y’all for years.
Only Cooter could hold him back
Or Luck is better than Stafford.
I like Andrew Luck, so I'm glad he wasn't in the draft when the Lions had the first pick. They would have ruined him.
And elsewhere in the division, a nugget on the Lions OC search—OL coach Jeff Davidson has been in on the interviews. That underscores the importance of the relationship between an offensive coordinator and line coach, of course. And it also is another example of the commitment that Matt Patricia and Co. have put into rehabbing the run game, which was rolling before Kerryon Johnson got hurt.
Next up I guess
It doesn’t matter who we get. If he’s good, he will be gone next year getting a HC job.
Sarkesian would be such a disappointing hire.
Not for the local bars.
We're interviewing Monken for OC. Sark is headed to Arizona, so we dodged that bullet. Hackett also interviewed with GB.
What reject is left for us to hire? Bring Cooter back.
At this point I’m thinking it’ll be someone from the Rams or Pats.
I'm thinking Pep Hamilton
I’d say Dave Warner, but there’s no way Dantonio would let him go.
Do we have a possibility list?
Quinn's going to hire whichever coordinator Belichik is looking to dump off so the Pats can improve their offense
Darrell Bevell is OC
so next year's game plan will be to give Zenner 30 carries a game to wear down defenses and on passing downs let Stafford scramble around then throw jump balls to Golladay?
writer for Rotoworld must be a Lions fan:
The Lions were turned down by many other candidates, but they finally found someone to take the job. Bevell was interviewed for the Falcons and Jaguars openings, but those jobs went to Dirk Koetter and John DeFilippo, respectively. Bevell will now call plays for defensive-minded coach Matt Patricia, who ran the offense into the ground in his first year on the job by putting shackles on OC Jim Bob Cooter and Matthew Stafford. As a run-first guy, Bevell fits Patricia's personality. The Lions will be better off once Patricia is out of Detroit.
This is the guy who lost the super bowl for Seattle, right?
The same fucking guy that was out of a job this year, and 8 other teams passed over for a job this year.
Bevell has had some really good offenses when he's had talent. I have no clue what he'll do, but I think there's a chance he'll be decent.
