I didn't have a huge problem with Bevell running it twice on the drive before the blocked FG. You want to run clock, hope you spring something at the same time, and I think most teams would do that. This is twice in three weeks, though, where we've had 3rd down and long in that situation where our pass play of choice was a low percentage bomb down the sidelines. I'm guessing that's to avoid any chance of an INT and return, but there has to be something better there where you give yourself a better shot at converting.
And he probably saved 5-10 yards of that on plays that should have been losses. Would like to see us get him involved a bit in the passing game.
my salty bitch of a friend who's a huge eagles fan has been blowing up my phone all day about this game so this has been really gratifying
I'm torn on the idea of whether we should trade for Jalen Ramsey. If it's just a 1st round pick, I think we should do it. If it's significantly more than that (Mack, Tunsil and others have recently gotten more than that), I think I'd pass. We don't have a ton of cap space in 2020, and both Slay and Ramsey will be looking for top of the market CB money going into the last years of their deals next year. Melvin's play so far this year has been pretty solid, too, although I'm not sure how likely that is to continue.
Maybe reading to much into it, but kind of makes me think he's getting pulled early if this thing gets sideways at all going into the bye.
It was recovered and down on the 1 imo by the fat guy. Then the little guy grabbed it from him and ran.
