K Jake Bates was 3-of-3 from field goal range and 2-for-2 on extra points in Monday’s practice. This after nailing a 53-yarder in the preseason game vs. the Giants and a 64-yard at the end of Sunday’s practice. He’s certainly trending up.
Campbell is enormous and Lalonde might want to consider being more selective about the people he takes pics with.
Kind of interesting: Manu even making it into the 2025 two-deep would be a win, but that’s a pretty impressive performance from him already.
I know what you're saying, but he's on the 2 deep no matter what. He's not getting cut considering what we gave up to trade for him. Whether that ends up being a good thing or not is TBD.
Optimistically...if they had some doubts on it, I don't think they let him out a shoe on and then walk on it.
Yeah two-deep probably wasn’t the best way to say it. But yeah, basically if he’s a guy who can be a serviceable backup (and not “we’re fucked if he has to play in an important situation”) by next year, then that seems like a big win.
"Raymond challenged himself during the 2021 season to beat Goff into the building each morning or outlast him at night. Just once. The difficult part: figuring out if Goff himself ever left. “Like, bro, if I get here at 4 a.m., you’re not supposed to be here,” Raymond says. “If I’m still here at 8 p.m. you should be gone.” JA-red Goff chants broke out at the NFL draft (hosted in downtown Detroit) in April, at Tigers games, at Western Michigan hockey games and bars. Raymond remembers looking over at his quarterback during one such overture following the team’s divisional round win over Tampa Bay in January. Tears formed in his eyes, as he remembered his inability to beat Goff to the facility, and he simply said, “I’m so proud of you, bro.”
Paschal playing a fair amount last week and this week when none of the top 30-40 type guys are seems like a bad sign for what kind of needs to be a breakout season for him.
Not keeping Isaiah Williams seems like it would be a mistake, but also it’s tough when he’s not gonna pass Raymond.
Don't want to play the Lions should pick up every name player that gets released game. But Patrick would be a great fit for what they need at receiver
