Moseley helping was always a long shot, but if they could watch Vildor get torched last week and think he's still clearly a better option than Moseley, he's probably not long for the roster.
Yep. There is zero rush at this point which isn’t a shock because we have a bunch of depth guys playing a ton of snaps.
Especially against GB. At least it’s at home. I think we will score points but the D is just a mess right now.
Two games in a row though the offense looked like shit. Hopefully they get it together. That’s what’s going to win us the super bowl.
It’s a long season. Nobody rolls through it. Still winning games when you play poorly is a much a mark of a great team as rolling bad opponents. Last weekend they beat the Colts worse than anyone else has. 4 days later they gritted out a win against a good defense despite a lot of injuries. Anyone expecting the offense to roll the rest of the season and through the playoffs is a fucking idiot. That’s not how this league works.
The Bears have lost their last 3 games by a total of 7 points. That’s the Lions, Packers and Vikings. Before that they lost 19-3 to the Patriots. They’re a poorly coached team with enough talent to play teams tight, and bad enough to lose to the Pats. That’s the NFL. Just win.
Curious how Campbell treats this upcoming week. Practice on Saturday? Commencing with a Club’s first regular season game, all players will be permitted at least one day off each calendar week (i.e., Sunday-Saturday) of the regular season. All players will be permitted at least three days off after playing a Thursday game unless the Club has consecutive Thursday games. In such a case, players will be permitted at least one day off following the first Thursday game, and players will be permitted at least three days off following the second Thursday game. Days off following Thursday games and days off under Article 24, Section 2 (Bye Weeks) of this Agreement shall satisfy the Club’s obligation to permit players at least one day off each calendar week of the regular season. During the postseason, all players will be permitted days off at the rate of four days per month as determined by the Club.
I would give them Saturday and Sunday off, practice in shells on Monday and Tuesday, walk thru on Wednesday, rest everyone who is dinged on Thursday, then 3 more days off before starting Bills Week.
There really needs to be 2 bye weeks per team no matter if it's a 17 game or 18 game regular season. Start the season the same week college "officially" does and work-in the double bye. The players need it for the career longevity, and damn the lions could use one right about now.
Nobody should play Sunday-Thursday-Thursday. It’s dangerous for player health and the football is bad.
every team has a minimum one Thursday game. Only way to solve it is to have bye week before the Thursday game, or if you have a 2nd Thursday game, it’s immediately after the first to allow for same amount of rest as a normal Sunday to Sunday game.
It's really incredible this team can keep winning. I know playing the bears helps this week but man we are down so many guys.
