hoping there's a little more pass rush in there or else that feels a bit high for that skill set, but I get it with the injury history of our DT room. Makes me think Harmon was the guy they were hoping would be there.
Maybe. At the end of the day, Alim won’t likely be ready to start the season and the rest of the our DTs contracts expire after next year. I think it’s a justifiable pick, especially with the lack of options on either side of the line.
Agreed there. Feels like someone we could’ve traded back for to get more value or traded up for in the 2nd, but I know that Dan and Brad will always prioritize their guys.
Agreed. I think he's a good player and should be solid for us. And having to play Pat O'Connor at DT for major snaps last year makes you realize the value of guys like this when you don't have them. I probably would have gone elsewhere but I don't think there was a pick we could have made that would have made me mad. I just hope we can find a pass rusher somewhere tomorrow on the outside.
I'd probably have been mad at this pick in prior years But 1. Brad and this crew have shown they know way more than i do and have earned the trust 2. There was absolutely no one there i really wanted or are mad we passed on Meh, we'll see how it goes
It makes me sad how many of the OSU players from last year I would like the Lions to draft. I like Williams. I would have been very happy with Simmons or Jackson on the OL in this round. Sign me up for JTT in round 2. I'd even take Sawyer and learn to enjoy that psycho if he got some sacks.
Tyleik is a stud. Buckeyes had the best 4th down defense I've ever seen and a huge reason was Tyleik just caved in the interior OL on those 4th and shorts.
You guys would certainly recognize great run-stuffing, having repeatedly run right at it last November.
We picked up Sewell’s 5th year right before signing him to his extension. I imagine that’s what’s happening with Hutch.
Team in interviews talking about how great Williams was in his interview. While not always the case, it's pretty clear this team prioritizes guys they liked in their interviews. Given that, these are some names to look out for rest of draft Rd 2 EDGE Josaiah Stewart S Jonas Sanker Rd 3 and 4 RB Cam Skattebo OG Dylan Fairchild WR Isaac TeSlaa OT Anthony Belton S Jaylen Reed Late Rounds/UDFA RB Lan Larison TE Ben Yurosek Edge Que Robinson Edge Fadil Diggs LB Chaz Chambliss LB Ruben Hyppolite
The prices we pay on some of these trades seem crazy every year. 60 and 130 for 57 and 230 seems like a lot.
who gives a shit. They’re obviously trading up for a guy they like and think can help the team. 4th rounder may not even make the team.
No picks between 3rd and 6th No way Holmes can sit still that long. Who on our roster is worth a 4th?
That's a really solid pick. If there was some risk he wouldn't be there when we picked I'm happy making that trade. Should plug a massive need
