I was disappointed we didn't give him a shot against the Knicks when Beasley and Hardaway couldn't hit the ocean for most of that series. Sasser had a better chance of guarding Brunson than either of them, too. Bickerstaff not giving either Sasser or Fontecchio a look in that series while we were shooting 20% from 3 was frustrating.
I don't like dealing with the Kings because it's confusing. Trading for Monk after adding LeVert and Robinson makes no sense to me unless there's an Ivey or Holland trade behind it. There's not enough minutes for all of them. They're a weird fit together now. And Monk very clearly has little to no trade value at this stage if we're taking this long to decide if we would prefer him or nothing.
So confused about this whole sign and trade thing but apparently it needs to be completed by tomorrow and apparently we getting no one again?
I've gone back and forth on the Monk stuff a lot. I think he would be really good Ivey insurance and I don't think he's a bad contract, but that's a lot of scorers on the perimeter and he clearly has little to no value around the league in future trades. Kind of think we're better off just taking the $14M trade exception and seeing what we can get for it later. I am guessing the main reason we've kept the possibility open for this is because we're probably shopping Monk around the league now to see if we could get someone who fits better for that slot.
tweet saying Schroder to Sacramento was no longer a sign and trade. His agent has announced the deal. Apparently the guy deleted it because it's not confirmed yet.
Same guys on x who always hyped up Weaver and cap space will now tell you that you don't understand ball because "trade exception"
No Ku. The main objective was to improve off last season and win a playoff series. We are now worse than last year, and won’t make the playoffs
Ku is the type of guy who will post that, but when they start 5-9 will do a video tearing apart management for not making any moves. And then wonder why he doesn't get a real journalist job
I was about to say that is the most informed and researched thing I've seen from him, then saw in the first comment someone gave him those stats
Probably won't amount to much, but I would bet we do something with it between now and the deadline. Probably won't amount to much, but even if it's just taking a salary dump from a team getting out of the tax or under an apron in January gets us that pick back (and probably more). Wouldn't have been a huge deal if it didn't happen, but it's still better to have than not.
