What the hell is going on? Hayward to NY, we take kemba and get Duren? Ivey better have nothing to do with this
Also, if we come out of all this minus bum Grant, and plus Ivey, Duren, and we get Ayton...that's a 500 foot home run.
What do his salary numbers say? If a team friendly deal is possible, nice to have his scoring off the bench
If I'm reading it all correctly... We basically traded Jerami Grant for Kemba Walker, Jalen Duren, a 2nd round pick swap this year, and two more 2nd rounders in the Portland deal. Kemba has one year left on his deal at just over $9M, and this eats into our cap space by about $11-12M (when you include Duren's salary for next year). Still leaves us with max-ish space if we want it. I have no clue what this means for Ayton.
This seems great on the surface. Kemba for 1/9 is much better than Heyward for 2/30. Not sure what the Knicks are thinking
Ya if Bagley is smart he takes a moderate mid level deal and carves out a roll as the 6th-7th man on a team on the rise.
Wrote this in the draft thread, but this all makes more sense if our big play on July 1 is for Miles Bridges and not Ayton. And a team with Ivey, Bridges and Duren would be insane athletically.
Spending the next 30 mins watching Duran high school and Memphis highlights to get myself over excited.
We have a team option on Diallo for around $5M. I wonder if he ends up getting dropped to make sure we have the space to give a max deal. If not, he's on that level, too.
Is there a way to remove GM slander from this website? Asking for another user that definitely isn’t me.
He would have been higher on my big board if we didn't have Stew/weren't rumored to get Ayton. I'm just not ready to give up on Stewart. But I'm totally cool with collecting young talent.
I haven't seen anything about what Charlotte is getting. I'm assuming they got more than the Milwaukee pick from NYK.
