Misread it as him saying they made the trade to clear up playing time for Stewart when it was clearly a salary dump. But just give it time, there will be multiple tweets and articles by Edwards and Beard on how it's a genius move and just wait for what's coming next
This is complete conjecture on my part. I haven't seen any rumors on it. But Houston has already picked twice and picks against at 23 and 24. If we're trying to get back into the first round, that seems like a potential landing spot. At this point I'm scared of the trades we make and would prefer we just sit out until the 2nd round.
The trades last year were great and fun. The entire fan base was wondering if we’d ever draft in the second round again.
The little guy who hugged Keon was overwhelmed with happiness for Keon. Heartfelt hug and eye wipe from a tween.
The only players I find interesting enough at this point to trade back into the 1st for are Jared Butler and Miles McBride. And we don't really need either of them with Cade, Killian and Lee at PG. I just happen to really like both guys.
So Edwards thinks we dumped an asset to move Plumlee so we can sign a different free agent back-up center in free agency? What the fuck? We didn't need to open cap space to do it, and we didn't need to trade Plumlee to give Stewart a bigger role.
so many good point guards left on the board, too bad that's probably one position they need the least
If we're using at least one of our next picks, I hope we keep it in state and take Aaron Henry if he's still there.
so his thinking is we traded a better 2nd round and Plumlee, only to turn around and sign a worse FA center, and to save about $2 million.
Was that Garza or: Spoiler: I'm at a loss Balsa Koprivica | 7-1 center | 21 years old | Florida State Vecenie’s Ranking: Outside top 110 Koprivica is big. He is definitely tall at 7-foot-1 in shoes, and he has enormous hands that he uses to catch and finish. He’s a pretty good shot blocker from the weak-side, but not quite strong enough to be a primary rim protector. He’s not overly athletic, doesn’t really have any skill outside of three feet away from the rim, doesn’t rebound well on the defensive end, doesn’t pass well. He showed absolutely nothing of value at the G League Elite Camp, and I’m not sure there is really anything here outside of “tall with big hands.” I’m not sure he was actually good enough to play at Florida State, let alone in the NBA. I’m at a loss that he was selected. Hollinger’s team fit: I’m at a loss. Koprovica played at the G League Elite camp and was brutally awful, and there was really nothing in his track record at Florida State that indicated NBA draftability. He is 7-foot-1 and has a passport (although he’s from Florida) which means he could be stashed overseas, but that’s about all the upside I see here. He wasn’t even the best Florida State player on my board (RaiQuan Gray). Hollinger would have picked… Gray.
At this point I know we need a big, but doesn’t it make sense to chase a guy like Duncan Robinson? Seems like we need more shooters, but I also assume he’s too expensive for us.
I saw someone on Twitter speculate that the Plumlee deal could lead to us trying to sign Malik Monk, with the assumption being the Hornets and Pistons have an understanding that the Hornets wouldn’t match. Seems like a massive stretch, and is Monk really even worth it?
You forget how young guys in the draft are. Watched a Cade interview where he keeps talking about the "Bad Boys" but it's clear he's talking about the 2000s team
Hell I might find Drummond and Monroe jerseys on discount and burn them while wearing the Cade jersey
Our sports media has probably biggest thing that's happened in this town in a while. They ask fucking gores questions. Only ask cade a couple generic questions I've seen him asked and answered multiple times already and literally don't ask the other 3 guys even a single question. I mean come on, throw them a bone and ask them something too. You have a local kid and the college national player of the year up there
