Saw a suggestion on a barstool article about Killian Hayes being the most hated athlete in Detroit. I don't think that's fair. He doesn't seem like a douche, Baez I think would be ahead of him. I don't hate Killian, nor do I think most fans do. We just hate the GM for taking him over Haliburton and the coaches for continuing to play him, and the media for hyping him to a player we can all see he isn't
I don’t hate Killian at all. I think he’s good at basketball. He just can’t play effectively on the worst shooting team in the league. In part because he’s probably the worst shooter at his position in the league
he gave off big douche vibes when he was at the bay next to me at top golf, but I’d probably say that for most 22yos
I mean seriously, for a coach whose been trumpeting you have to earn your minutes, how much longer can Monty let this lineup stay together? It's pathetic. Clear answer is cut Killian from starting lineup and slash his minutes. But I'd take any change
Was a fun 3 games... But this is about what I expected from this terrible roster, especially when we found out Killian was not only still in rotation but starting
There is a fan in the front row that won't sit down and is yelling at players like he's a coach, is that Jalen Rose? Also most our turnovers are attempted entry passes to Duren
Killian 34 min -22 Sasser 29 min +3 Move needs to be made next game. Although I'm not sure how much difference it will realistically make, team just isn't good
When does Weaver start getting some heat? This is a poorly constructed team. Has made poor use of draft cap space, and has missed on some key draft selections.
so year 5, you're happy with 30 wins? They need to be a playoff team at a minimum next year. That's like 36-38 wins.
Yea, 30-52 in a league where the good teams constantly rest starters is still pathetic. This year's team should be a 30 win team minimum, considering cade only played 12 games last year, they added another top 5 pick and all their young players are a year older. 30 wins would have been the 5th worst team last year, it's not like we are expecting them to all of a sudden compete
Honestly, 30 wins would be a huge disappointment this year. Would basically mean guys like Cade and Ivey are not living up to the hype and are busts.
28-32 was where I expected to be. I don’t know what’s up with Ivey, he might be a bust. Cade is not an efficient scorer. We’re gonna have to see what Sasser can do
Really think cade can be more efficient if we really got some shooters with him where the lane wasn't so crowded. Think Cade's development being stunted by Killian on court with him makes me more mad than Killian just being out there. The Ivey thing is very disappointing.
It's one thing to have non-shooters if they could create something for Cade from time to time. Or themselves. But they can't, so it's all on Cade to do it for himself and everyone else at once. It's really hard to be efficient that way.
Killian still starting over Sasser. Monty stressing earning minutes means nothing. Duren out tonight, going to be a blood bath
What would the point of starting Sasser be without Burks, Ivey and Morris? Hayes in the starting line-up sucks, but Hayes running a bench line-up with Joe Harris, Marvin Bagley and Stanley Umude isn't going to help anyone, either.
I swear he made the same post last year, and then Stewart shot 11.5% from 3 in January. Either way, no one cares if Stewart shoots 40% from three on 3FGAs per. Teams will guard him more if he's shooting 35% on six 3FGAs than 40% on three of them.
He's 2011-12 Brandon Inge, he's good for a hot game or stretch when pressure gets highest to buy him way too much extra time. I'm sick of horrible basketball, so I'd gladly be wrong if he miraculously gets better. But it's hilarious our beat going to talk about this game for a month when he probably won't even end up with a stat line of what the guy we took him over averages
This was obvious from game 1. He showed it on the court. Why hasn’t he played at all the past two games?
Look at Cade get hot offensively last few minutes when a certain offensive black hole isn't out there with him. Hmmm
The Pistons have an average point differential of -3.5 per game this season. They're also getting outscored at the FT line by an average of -7.1 per game. The only other team in the league that's worse than -5.0 at the line is Indiana. Would be great if Cade got calls on a more consistent basis, but at some point the defense needs to stop hacking everyone and sending them to the line every trip if we want to win any of these games. It's been the difference in a bunch of our losses already. We're losing by 9 right now, and been outscored at the line 18-11.
Pistons were down 10 when Sasser came in, 4 min later they are winning Offense is so much better with him out there
