We are 7-12 with Blake in the starting lineup. That's a 30 win season pace. And we had to give up a first rounder to get him.
Stan has shown no ability to evaluate talent. Bycks is the best rookie he’s had in 4 years and we obtained him on waivers.
Buycks is the perfect example of Stan's incompetence running both jobs at the same time. He runs a system that allows someone like Buycks to perform as a nobody off the street making the minimum. But he can't help himself as a team president and is terrified of being stuck in a difficult situation in the middle of the season, so he guaranteed both Ish Smith and Langston Galloway $40M over 3 year deals to be back-ups. I don't think either Smith or Galloway are bad or on horrible contracts. They're just not necessary, and having both of them at the same time you draft a 2 guard in the lottery is just ridiculous.
Was at the game, Griffin and Drummond have zero desire to play basketball it looks like. Just about every time they were the last two up the floor on a very slow jog.
Posted this in the Wings thread as well The Red Wings and Pistons are a combined 3-17 over each of their last ten games. Talk about tank porn.
And yet, he still left Robert Horry’s ass WIDE FUCKING OPEN. I love sheed, but I was at that fucking game.
Rasheed's "domination" of Slava Medvedenko to the tune of 13 points and 8 rebounds per game. Rasheed is the definition of "absence makes the heart grow fonder" in sports. He was so incredibly frustrating to watch and I think he poisoned that group to some degree with his emotional outbursts, yet all I can think of now that he's gone is him draining threes and making me laugh.
Sheed was one of the best offensive post players I can remember. It felt like he shot 90% on 10-12ft fadeaway baseline jumpers. But we'll all remember him for shooting 30% from three because he spent most of the game chilling behind the arc.
If you listen to the whole interview he said he’s going to sit down with SVG and discuss what changes need to be made. I bet he’s coming back,
My guess is he goes to Stan and asks him to step down as team president. Stan will either tell him to go fuck himself, or demand an extension to continue as head coach. I have no clue where Gores goes when that happens.
Apparently it’s this Friday. Who knows. The full interview is 20 minutes and you can find on YouTube. He was never on that station again lol
Jesus Christ. So there is no update. He's definitely coming back. And they are definitely going to give him an extension too, can't have a lame duck running the show. The franchise is screwed from a cap standpoint, and we don't have a draft pick for him to fuck up. May as well bring his fat ass back.
They don’t have to confirm anything. He’s still under contract. They will probably announce a contact extension in next couple weeks.
