Reggie is so fucking inconsistent but was awesome in the last five minutes. Drummond’s passing has been awesome lately.
Yeah, let’s go ahead and do a sixers level tank. It was fun to see them have a good start, but this team isn’t going anywhere.
Anyone watching? Pretty good game vs. Boston. Up three at half. Drummond already has a double double.
This is like the third or fourth time this season I have remarked that Drummond has played the best game of his career.
ESPN Stats & InfoVerified account @ESPNStatsInfo 3m3 minutes ago Andre Drummond is the 1st visiting player with at least 25 points, 20 rebounds and 5 assists in Boston since Wilt Chamberlain in 1967.
The Pistons are a nightmare matchup for the Celtics. Detroit is really fucking good. The margin of victory was not a good indicator of how the Pistons manhandled Boston. Detroit is only going to get better as the season goes on. I don't want any part of them.
To think Detroit contemplated getting rid of him a couple times over the last 2 seasons. He's a beast to handle. There isn't a player alive who can keep him off the glass.
No more of this 76ers tanking bullshit. This team is going to compete all season. Bradley has completely changed this team IMO, and a bigger upgrade from KCP than I thought. Harris is playing like a borderline all-star, Drummand starting to reach his full potential and Reggie seems to have reigned it in a bit. Smith is a great PG off the bench and really gets the 2nd unit going. This team now has my full attention, I would like to go see them live this year. Think of the road wins we have so far: Clips, GSW, Boston, Thunder, Minnesota, and Knicks. Not bad to start the season.
Why? Team has started the season far exceeding expectations. Should at least be a playoff team in a season we expected to bottom feed. Every Pistons fan should be excited about that.
We beat Boston and Golden State on the road. When the season ends we may be the only team able to say that.
I think Boston, Cleveland and Washington are better than us. Toronto might be, as well, but that team is weird. I think a top 5 seed is reasonable, and a 3 seed isn't out of the question if we stay healthy and Washington continues to have health issues with Wall's knee.
I would agree with this outside of Washington. I think it would be closer to a push, and Washington hasent proven anything yet in the playoffs over the past couple years. Plus Andre should eat Gortat for lunch. I would be more worried about the Raptors.
The Raptors are in no man's land and I'm not convinced they don't sell if things start to turn bad. They also play much worse in the postseason than the regular season every year to this point. Washington has Wall and Beal. I think we could beat them in a series because their bench is so bad, but their starting 5 is better than ours and they've had our number in recent years in regular season games. Seems like Wall's knee might be a problem, though, which could keep them out of the playoffs if he can't get healthy.
Also, the change in offensive philosophy has helped this season. Still using the pick n roll a lot, but also using Andre more as a facilitator. I love the curls they run off of Drummond, especially when Bradley is running with a full head of steam.
It's a pretty genius move from SVG (and the coaches who supposedly pushed him to do it, including his brother). It takes the ball out of Reggie's hands and gets Drummond off the block while keeping him involved. Two birds with one stone situation, and ideally we'll get better at it as the season moves along. Kind of crazy that Drummond has done as well as he has playing this way considering he's never been asked to do anything like it before.
I’m still not a big Reggie fan but Bradley is great and Harris really seems to be figuring it out. I’ve mentioned it before but I had no idea Drummond could pass like he has this year. Completely changed the way team plays offense. Good on Stan for being creative and getting the most out of him. There’s still a definite ceiling here but they have a good chance to win a playoff round which is incredible from a year ago.
We need tonights victory over the Suns. Next 4 after that are on the road, then we come back home to play GSW who I'm sure will be looking for payback. If we can go 4-2 over the next 6 I would be very happy. Even 3-3 wouldn't be terrible.
Drummond could have a triple double tonight if he starts to rebound a bit more. Never thought I'd say that one.
That was kinda of a bullshit 70. If I remember correctly, Isaiah I think purposely fouled Booker just to get him to the line for 70.
The next 7 games is the toughest stretch of our schedule this year, IMO (at Washington, Philly, SA and Milwaukee, then home for GS, Boston and Denver). If we go 3-4, I'll be happy. The goal should be to avoid disaster. That's 7 likely playoff teams in a row, starting with a stretch of 4 road games in 6 nights.
Anything less than 6-1 would be a huge disappointment. Need to put league on notice and win them all.
Luke looks like he has bought in mentally on the defensive end, which should garner him more mins in the future. Almost seems like he is the first guy off the bench now, and he doesn't look hesitent to shoot in his rookie season.
