They are playing their best game of the year to this point, imo. Just a bad night for Husso to have his worst game of the season.
Randomly decided to see what is going on with Mantha. He's only scored 18 goals since we traded him. Vrana has 22 and has only played 39 games. Never thought he'd struggle that much there.
Must win game tonight. Buffalo has been struggling and obviously they ran us off the ice last time we played. I’ll be disappointed if we play poorly tonight.
Sundqvist has to get off the PP. The idea of having a net front guy is so convoluted if he can’t do anything else offensively. All it does it is remove options from the rest of the group.
So now that Bert has another broken hand, I just don’t see how this ends with him getting a new deal from Detroit. Problem is, you’re going to end up trading for pennies on the dollar. Broken hands are fluke injuries, but I am sorry, you can’t give him a long term deal with all the time he’s missed
Yeah that makes sense for the team, but I don’t think Bertuzzi is going to accept a short term deal at this point in his career.
Great period. I’ve been very impressed with how the team has been playing the last week or two, even despite the lack of points.
LOL, feel like that never works but that was right down the middle. Won't get comfortable till this hits 0:00 but what a performance.
Feel like you need to play the 6-5 way more aggressive. So much less room for them to pass it around you, even with the extra guy.
Third period showed how good TB can be, but we looked great for the first two periods and we got the win.
Personally, I would not recommend giving up 30 shots in a period. That said, getting the goalies stabilized would go a long way to staying in playoff contention.
This portion of the schedule is just so brutal, so winning tonight is huge. Need to find a way to win one of the next three (at FLA, at DAL, CAR)
Ned has to hit waivers tomorrow. Hopefully he doesn’t get claimed but he needs time in the AHL, desperately.
We might have something cooking with Amadeus Lombardi. Last year for Flint he had 18 + 41 in 67 GP. This year he’s already at 17 + 22 in 28 GP.
