I will give Ken the benefit of the doubt here because I really think he did well with Smith and Jurco. Vanek's reputation had to of played a huge role. I don't expect any other deals today. The TDL is usually all about trading expiring deals.

As stated above, we should've got at least a second for Vanek but overall a good trade deadline considering management has completely botched the development of Smith and Jurco.
I have seen this floated on Twitter and I expect it to be true; one of the benefits of all these picks is that we can trade one to Vegas for the promise of then taking a specific player in the expansion draft. I bet we move one of our thirds to them so that they take someone like Ericsson or Howard.
