I'm really just arguing to devil's advocate. Signing a guy like Ott should come at the expense of a Miller, not retard the progress of a promising young guy. We're going to be mediocre to bad either way. Might as well develop for the future.
I really wanna see a line with larkin, AA and Hank. The new Two Kids and a Goat line. Also, does nyquist look off or is it just me?
Gus has been ok. That third line is good together but Gus is struggling away from then. Larkin is struggling the most but I attribute that to playing C finally. Lot more responsibility

I like the lines a bit more tonight Tatar-Hank-Sheahan (have we given up on Sheahan as a C?) Abby-Nielsen-Larkin Goose-Helm-Vanek OMG Line I hope that once we get the top 9 locked down we can actually start rolling 4 lines with fairly even minutes and have AA and Mantha play with Glenny, let him worry about defensive coverage and let the other two wheel around. Also wish we'd just bench Ericsson and have Sproul and XO in the lineup.
The lines do look nice My hate for Ericsson is next level but outside of Green, he has been our best defenseman in the first 4 games I think. Also think Mantha should be a top 9 forward or stay in GR. It's pointless to me to have him on the 4th line.
The idea of having a checking line is so dumb. Mantha - AA - Bert should be the fourth line right now with Mantha on the PP. AA - Helm - Bert - Sheahan on the PK.
I'd rather him play 12 in the NHL and on the PP too. No way I want him to play on a line with Glendening and AA. He needs to play with a top 2 center. You don't play to his best attributes in that position
He is clearly not ready for the NHL, kid Is always in a position to score goals when this Detroit organisation want him to play better defensively
Mrazek might not be the most consistent goalie in the league but I'm pretty sure he makes the most difficult saves.
NHL OT rules should make it so that it's a 3 on 2 not a 4 on 3 if there's a penalty. Makes taking penalties in OT more damaging. Hooking someone on a breakaway in OT should be worth more than 20 seconds of 4 on 3.
Roughly a month in and Blash is redeeming himself. The fourth line still is used too much but he is really doing a good job of putting guys in a position to succeed. Also Sproul seems pretty damn good.
