I would guess Johansson becomes the front runner for the vacant LHD spot, which isn’t a bad thing. Just sucks Edvinsson is likely not going to be truly full speed until November/December.
If only. Bob’s list is actually a consensus he takes from polling NHL scouts, so usually Bob’s list ends up the most accurate of any that comes out.
Yeah once the centers and Michkov are gone I could see him getting snagged. Hell, I could see him going ahead of Michkov.
He really seemed like he was playing a different game than the other guys. Good to see seeing as he's in the echl. He didn't have any crazy saves but was always in the right position to make every save look routine. Got caught on a screen and a great shot and the other goal was a complete fluke off his own defender. Cincinnati didn't have a ton of shots, toledo does a really good job of pushing the play wide but they had a few great opportunities in the slot and he mad effortless saves. Fun to watch him, hope he continues to progress.
A Fed Ex driver just called into 97.1. Said he dropped off 12 large packages of what appears to be Conner Bedard jerseys at the team store this afternoon. Looks like my sources were correct.
Stuck trying to put my kid to bed whose insisting on a YouTube calming music song to put him asleep so I can't open another video app....I'll rely on vins outrage too
Lol at Blackhawks fans acting shocked as if that wasn't the most obvious result that everyone saw coming. So blatant from the nhl
Athletic mock: 9. Detroit Red Wings: Ryan Leonard, RW, USA U-18 (NTDP) For as long as the Red Wings have been rebuilding, they still need top-of-the-lineup scorers, and preferably ones who can play with a bit of an edge. That’s Leonard to a T, fresh off a 51-goal campaign for the U.S. National Team Development Program that most recently included the Golden Goal at the World U18 Championships. Leonard isn’t as big as the typical power forward, but he’s plenty sturdy, and with his scoring touch can be a multi-dimensional right-shot wing in the top half of Detroit’s lineup. —Max Bultman
I know he’s maligned more his playoff performance (he’s been fine but his lows have been bad) but we should be after William Nylander. Toronto isn’t going to be re-sign him after next year and he’s a legit 30 goal scorer. He just turned 27 and his game should age well.
Toledo is currently 8-0 in the Playofrs, with both goalies splitting the games thus far. Cossa has been the better of the two by a decent margin this postseason but I expect they continuing alternating starts since it’s working.
