You know what also blows? Losing 11 out of 14 in a 30 day stretch (Feb/March). That sealed the fate of the season. Fire Yzerman.
Watching on my phone before checking out of the hotel to head home - Berggren is not an NHL player. The fact he and Tarasenko were out on that PP for any amount of time is a testament to the terrible roster construction.
History repeating itself again means it’s time for Yzerman or Larkin to go I think. Organization needs a massive shakeup and those are the two easiest guys to move on from at this point. I love Larkin but his trade value won’t ever be higher. If and when we are ever good with Dylan around, he’s going to be in his 30’s, on the downside of his career.
I've never seen a team worse in empty net situations. Doesn't matter if we have it pulled or the other team does, we always getting scored on and never scoring
9 years without making the playoffs. Mike is rolling over in his grave right now. Embarrassing for a historic franchise like this. Need to make serious changes from the top of front of the office on down this offseason. No rebuild should take 6 plus years.
How the fuck did they ever have that good stretch after Mclellan was hired? Just pure luck? My God what in the fuck
7th in the league for goals scored by players 21 and younger Fantilli, Michkov, Celebrini, Cooley, Bedard, Carlsson, then Kasper Good company
The production from Kasper is awesome (especially when you look at post-Lalonde firing, hard to judge him when he’s stuck on the 4th line with the likes of Motte and Fischer). But the best takeaway from this season is that he showed he can be at least an average 2nd line center (and hopefully more).
Winning meaningless games after eliminated from playoff contention for 9th year in row. A tradition unlike any other.
Yes, I directed him to the Job Corps building on Hall St and recommended he go pro in something other than hockey.
