Now perhaps we understand the recent "family emergency"?
Didn't we just play a team that had to postpone games due to covid?
Has to be
How is the league not even taking a look at this...edit nevermind, finally
How is that not interference? Kessel pushed goalie out of crease with his stick
Absolutely ridiculous. Phoenix hit the puck out of his glove earlier in the sequence too.
At least Berggren scored 2 in GR tonight
Up to 5+5=10 in 14 games
We aren’t going to win much when the second line can’t score. Getting close to the point where Berggren needs to be called up to provide some skill to the top nine.
I’ve watched nearly every minute of every game this season and what frustrates me the most is that Blashill has made zero adjustments to fix how break through the neutral zone, and how our forwards defend in the defensive zone. Some of its personnel, but most of it is just frustrating coaching decisions. Our forwards seemingly get too low in our own end, so very breakout ends up requiring at least one extra pass. That pass basically nukes the time and space necessary to successfully get through the NZ with possession. It kills me every time.
I think not having players with pace is another issue, which is why I believe it’s time to change up lines 2-4. My idea:
Fabbri - Veleno - Berggren
Zadina - Suter - Erne
Namestikov - Rasmussen - Gagner
Varna’s return will be a godsend for this team at least.
Yea Vrana is going to be a shot in the arm when he comes back, putting a real offensive threat on the 2nd line.
Fabbri struggles lately aren't great because it's made our 2nd line pretty much a non threat, and he was probably most likely guy we'd move, and his stock is tanking.
I'd love Zadina to play with Veleno and Berggren.
How much longer is Vrana out?
They said four months back in September, but he said he thought it would be quicker. I assume he wants to get back to get enough games in to be able to play in the Olympics, so it’s possible we see him in January.
Covid-19 and -19 at the same
They confirm that Ned is starting?
Hes listed first so I think so
Like it. Bert should inject some energy into 2nd line hopefully and like Zadina with Veleno. Just wish someone like Berggren was playing with them instead of Gagner and we had someone more talented than Namestnikov on 1st line
I think ideally in a couple months if healthy we go
I wish they actually used the lines on the board. This second line is absolutely terrible.
Top line still very good though
Boy do I look like a genius drafting both Raymond and Seider in fantasy. Both top 15 fantasy players at their respective positions.
I fucking love Seider, but I'm almost regretting not getting the Raymond jersey instead. They are both special.
Hell of a period from Ned
Three Calder candidates on the team is fun
Another goal and assist for Berggren tonight. Heating up
His first 5 games in GR 0 goals 1 assist -2
Last 10 games 6 goals 5 assists +5
Should be the auto call up when we play in Canada
If Veleno is out for a while, Pearson probably gets called up to give us all another C, but it won’t be long for Berggren.
Smith has actually been ok the last few games. This isn’t the change I would make, but I’m not sure what we have to lose if Veleno isn’t in the lineup.
Raymond OT winner
Ned should get the Boston game as well. Guys on fire.
Crazy to have 1-2-3 in the Calder race
Our other #1D
Zegras has worked his way into the mix. Which is funny because he was the guy I absolutely wanted that draft, so appears we would have been good either way. I'd say Raymond has probably seperated himself at 1 and I think Seider is still 2, but being saddled with bad partners is hurting his stats a little bit recently. So I'm not sure voters who aren't actually watching all his games will appreciate him as much.
