I haven't looked at the advanced stats on it but Raymond for all his offensive prowess is just terrific in the defensive end. So cool on the puck and just seems to always make the right play.
I like when Zadina scores goals and it would be really cool if he started doing that more frequently.
Ned is so fucking locked in right now, it’s amazing.
Get outshot 42-16 on the road. Win 2-1. Not bad for a 3rd rounder or whatever we gave up.
Currently 11th in the east. I think Philly and the Isles should catch us but it’s gonna be hard to compete for the bottom with Ottawa, Buffalo, and Montreal. Probably out of the Shane Wright sweepstakes.
This is the year we win the lottery but it won't matter because we can only move up 4 spots? haha
It would be rather neat if Zadina could keep scoring goals.
But while we're there, what does a 2018 redraft look like? After a quick look it appears to have been a pretty weak draft.
hughes, dahlin, and Tkakchuck are probably top 3
saw Sebrango and Cossa got called into Canada's World juniors camp, who else? I imagine Edvinsson and Wallinder will be involved for Sweden, Niederbach(?). Viro for Finland
You nailed it. Bednar for the CR too probably.
And then Savage/Mazur for the US
I feel like I'm decently keyed in on Wings prospects and I have no idea who these guys are lol.
Sebrango's development has been quite the pleasant surprise
College kids. Mazur is an overager showing out well at Denver.
I love Bobby
I assume Berggren gets the call up for Saturday’s game.
Not the best looking lineup tonight...
Fuck this idiot so much.
What a shot by Raymond
Didn't watch the game, but can't say I'm surprised by this
Since there are so many comps between Raymond and Marner, I wanted to compare their respective rookie years.
Both guys debuted in the NHL their D+2 season at basically the same age. Marner had 61 points in 77 games. Raymond is on pace to score in the high 70’s. You figure he will hit a wall at some point, but 60 points should be the expectation now barring injury. It’s eerie how similar these two guys are.
He has much better shot than I expected
His disallowed goal last night was also really pretty, twas a shame he was *barely* offside.
Except he’s way better defensively than Marner
Someone could have probably made a lot of money betting a Hronek-Gagner-Smith parlay as our first 3 goalscorers tonight
Holy shit. What a shot.
Seider with a fucking hell of a shot
Goal and assist for Berggren in GR tonight
I am still not sold on Blashill being the guy to get us over the hump, but he’s been better this season.
It's amazing this team is over .500 with zero games from Vrana and both Larkin and Bertuzzi have missed stretches
Barely. 13 wins - 12 losses. Still don’t think the first line’s production is sustainable.
Berggren needs an audition next time we’re in Canada.
Don’t hate it only because he can play either spot in a pinch. Not well mind you, but it makes sense under the current circumstances. I would play him against St. Louis with how they like to run people.
NBA sending out a memo saying unvaxxed players won't be able to cross the border soon. Apologies for being too lazy to look this up but I assume Bertuzzi's issue is an NHL policy and not what the NBA is talking about?
What’s up with the no TV?
NHL game of week on ESPN+
Good game to skip though for those who couldn't find it...
Welp Seider is hurt....
