Red Wings may end up being able to move defenseman Jakub Kindl. More than one interested team. $1.45 million this year and next. 12:49pm - 27 Feb 16
My ability to sing Remix to Ignition in its entirety got me laid that Memorial Day weekend - I busted it out a capaella while day drunk and a OBGYN resident was very impressed. We had many sex that night.
Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC 49s49 seconds ago Kindl to FLA. Return is a late-round pick and DET will keep some salary.
Ansar Khan@AnsarKhanMLive #RedWings deal Kindl to Florida. Get back 6th round pick in 2017 and retain 15 percent of salary. 360k retained. Not bad.

It seems Tatar and Nyquist are regressing this year, but I guess you could make the case that scoring is down in the league overall so maybe it isn't a big deal. Dats and Zets points are down as well but I feel like next year we could see a significant point drop from the them. I feel like this is a team that could be in the same position next year at this time, maybe worse.
Tats, Riley and Nyquist should be much better. Hopefully. Honestly, one of them may be moved in the offseason to upgrade the D. Could get a boost from a full season from AA and Mantha.
Tatar has also been careless with the puck. I do think he and Gus will be better but one will likely need to be moved to bolster the blueline.
Fun fucking game. Our pp blows but I'm too happy to be upset. Also, I wasn't the biggest fan of the jerseys but those gloves were so clean. But they were 20 years late. They were MADE for Fedorov.
Smith was held out today and people had speculated it was due to some effects from that hit he took on Tuesday. Blash said that wasn't the case. In response to that: David Pagnotta @TheFourthPeriod 2m2 minutes ago David Pagnotta Retweeted Greg Wyshynski Well, that's fascinating. Smith's name has been out there. Pagnotta is pretty fucking iffy, but Smith is likely not overtaking anyone in our lineup with E back, so it makes sense to try and get something for him now if possible.
First time Ken has mentioned the R word "I don't see us acquiring any depth. I don't want to pay a price for someone that is older but other than experience isn't much better than our kids. "It's got to be a type of player who's really going to improve us or give us a different look. Our younger players are pretty good. This race to the playoffs is very important, but having an eye to the future is just as important. "Maybe a rebuild is inevitable. We're trying to figure out if we can avoid that."
Thought the boys were going to choke that away tonight but got a big 2 points. AA's goal was filthy as fuck too https://www.nhl.com/video/athanasious-nifty-second-goal/t-277350912/c-41992603
Was chatting with her at a bar for about 10 mins (having no idea who she was). As we go to get another drink I notice she had a Quincey jersey tied around her waist. "Who the fuck would have a Quincey jersey?" rustled her jimmies.
Mrazek has definitely hit a cold spell the last two weeks. Blash called him his #1 goalie before the game today, and then he proceeded to give up two weak ones on five shots to get chased.
He was statistically the best goalie in the league and playing behind an average at best defense. His luck had to turn at some point.
While I totally agree, he is just fighting the puck right now. The two goals he gave up tonight he absolutely has to have.
I read somewhere that he's fighting a groin injury. Hoping that has something to do with it. regardless those were a bad 2 games to drop like that
I agree - I think he's just exhausted. He hasn't played this many since 12-13 with GR, which is obviously lesser competition and behind a better collective defense. In the meantime, ride Jimmy's hot hand. My bigger concern is the defense and team play in front of them, we're constantly putting them in bad situations with such atrocious zone exits and we really can't seem to find offensive consistency. The lack of ability of Tatar and Nyquist to create consistent scoring chances is starting to scare me - when does management start looking at moving one of them in a package to address our Defensive issues? We have organizational depth w/ top 6 forwards (Larkin, AA, Pulky, Jurco and Mantha) and I feel like something needs to change. Sheahan seems to be developing into more of a defensive specialist who can chip in some playmaking, which is fantastic for a 3C and Abby is having trouble finding that scoring touch (which is ok to me.) Might be a "sky is falling" mentality, but when I compare Nyquist and Tatar to other players of the same age and similar ilk, I can't help but get a little worried.
As much as I hate to say it this team just needs to crater the remainder of the season and miss the playoffs. Something drastic has to be done to shake this team up.
Getting the 10th-14th picks isn't going to solve the problem and we're too far away from a pick that'll actually make a significant impact.
Wings need a roster shakeup but KH is too much of a puss to do anything drastic. He'll just continue to show loyalty to guys who haven't deserved anything
What I mean is more symbolic. We need something to happen that shows bringing back Helm or Quincey this summer isn't an improvement. We have assets; we need them to acquire legit upgrades. I don't see that happening with another 7 or 8 seed and a first round out.
I think we have enough upper end guys to get a move done. You can definitely package Mantha and a first for an upgrade on the point. You just have to be willing to do it.
I'd be looking at trading 1 of Tatar,Nyq, and jurco. Hopefully the remaining guys wake up. We're trying to out skill teams when we don't have a whole lot of skill anymore. And we're so small as soon as anyone leans on them the pucks gone.
You think a team want to trade their young top pairing D for a mid first and a winger prospect that can't seem to make the next step in his development?
Strange things have happened. Detroits only 3 hours from home for him, and THN has speculated on Detroit as a possibility
I am saying you can land a young top 4 D, yes. Will you have to sweeten the pot some? Sure. But you can get it done. UFA isn't a thing you can build through anymore so you have to develop talent. The problem is you can't become married to the guys you bring through the system. It has become a massive issue for this team.
Nyquist. I'm not that enamored with either right now though. Tats would be the one to move though IMO. Swedish Mafia.
Also Kronwall has been a killer for us. He should not be on the PP any longer, nor should he be logging top 4 minutes. Of course there is no obvious choice to replace him.
Ericsson belongs in the AHL. I think Nyquist has slightly more value at the moment depending on what team would be acquiring him. I think Tatar can become a much better player than he is now.
