Based on this presser, I expect Yzerman to take over as President of Hockey Ops, with a guy like Draper handling the daily grind of being the GM. Holland will move get the credit for the move when he is graciously forced into a non hockey role by Chris Illitch.

I'd like to see Veleno overcome Frk. And Chowlowski earn a spot as well. You also didn't list Svech or Hronek.
Hronek is listed. I think for now he has the inside track to make the opening night roster. Svech needs to score a lot in the preseason to make the team. Smith has an edge on him because he provides a different element to the team. He can play on the fourth line and it won’t hurt. There just isn’t a spot in the top 9 for Svech right now. If he isn’t top 9, he needs to go back to GR.
I would rather have Frk as the last Forward than Veleno if Veleno is not starting nightly. He needs to play. Same with Zadina if he is the "13th forward".

He’s a 24 year old undrafted FA from the Czech. He has some talent, and I could possibly see him as a bottom pairing guy for the Wings one day. He should get a lot of time in GR. Speaking of GR, Svech and Smith looked good together. They should be on the top line for the Griffs this season.
