We designated Isan Diaz for assignment, which dropped us to 39 on the 40 man. Could mean a bunch of things, but Keith would need to be added to the 40 man if we're calling him up so I guess that's in play.
Clark and McGonigle solid so far in Lakeland: Clark .300/.462/.400 .862 (3-10 with 3 BB, 1 2B) McGonigle .300/.333/.400 .733 (3-10 with 1 BB, 1 2B)
Strikeout. What a shocker. 0 for his last 19 with RSIP. Don’t worry he will hit some homers when we are down 10 runs to make up for it.
It’s more so that I have to go to the Whitecaps @ Lugnuts game tomorrow for a work thing, and it’d be way cooler if he was playing for West Michigan.
The Tigers have an OF, and IF and a SP in Jim Bowden's top 30 MLB Prospects: 14. Max Clark, OF, Tigers (Low A) Age: 18 Bats: L Throws: L Height: 6-1 Weight: 190 Scouting grades: HIT: 60 PWR: 50 RUN: 70 ARM: 65 FLD: 60 Max Clark is a prime-time player who loves the big moments. He was the No. 3 pick in this year’s draft and the first prep player selected. He has more line-drive power than loft power but hits the ball hard to all fields. His power projects to the 18- to 20-home run range when fully developed. He’s a burner with plus-plus range in all directions as an outfielder. Additionally, he has a strong arm; in fact, he’s been clocked in the mid-90s on the bump. Absolutely love this player. 18. Colt Keith, 2B/3B, Tigers (Triple A) Age: 22 Bats: L Throws: R Height: 6-2 Weight: 210 Scouting grades: HIT: 60 PWR: 60 RUN: 45 ARM: 60 FLD: 45 Colt Keith is major-league-ready and will be in the bigs soon — whenever the Tigers decide to promote him. He has the ability to play second or third base, however, his defense will be below average at both spots. But he’ll more than make up for it with his bat. He hits for both average and power and that should translate to the majors. (Keith is batting .309 with 23 homers between Double A and Triple A this season.) 30. Jackson Jobe, RHP, Tigers (High A) Age: 21 Bats: R Throws: R Height: 6-2 Weight: 190 Scouting grades: FB: 65 SLI: 65 CH: 55 CT: 60 CTL: 50 CMND: 45 Jackson Jobe’s fastball sits in the mid-90s with explosive life. His slider has become a nasty wipeout offering with late downward movement, and he’s able to locate it at an elite level. This season, he’s posted a 3.43 ERA in 12 starts (42 innings) with 56 strikeouts and only six walks across three levels. Jobe has the potential to lead the Tigers’ rotation someday but he needs time to develop.
he is due for a homer. In like a 1-20 slump, and we are getting killed. That’s when he turns it up best.

Even AJ Hinch said Mize was tired. "We were going to have him go one inning and see how it took him, and then obviously try to build off that," Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said Wednesday. "He was done, I think, at 18 pitches, up to 96 (mph). ... I think he's fatiguing. I think he's tired. I don't think he felt particularly great, which is expected, but that didn't alter his plan."
