Kiley McDaniel (ESPN) put out his top 100, Jobe and Dingler both in there, 50ish/80ish respectively ... Jobe vid
Remember that time we signed Javy Baez to that contract? The lockout making me forget that for parts of the last three months is the only good thing to come out of it.
To be fair, I don't think Law says that he's not good. It's that he automatically sandbags the rating of a HS pitcher draft pick/early prospect due to the higher likelihood of flameout vs. a guy 3-4 years older.
Somebody should read his top 100 and figure out when he starts to consider high school pitchers as prospects. Shouldn't be until their 4th year as a professional, right?
This piece of shit inherited a team from his dad, immediately tanked spending in order to rebuild for 4 years, and now stands in the way of baseball being played by being a fucking douche. Just sell the team already, asshole.
We know he’s a cheap fuck, but why would he be against it? He’s never going to spend up to that level. Makes no sense
It increases the limit before big pocket teams pay taxes. Makes him less competitive for the $ but also reduces the $ of tax redistrubutions
Angels are a joke but Illitch being one of the four is a complete joke. The District Detroit debacle just adds to my annoyance with him and his family.
Have they done anything with the area around LCA after they got the $300M or whatever it was in $$ from the state?
Tax payers should not be funding billionaires businesses. I’m sick of this shit, close your franchise if you can’t afford a place to play. We can watch teams with sustainable business models

I wouldn't be surprised if we add another starter somewhere, but I doubt it will be a big name. I would love for us to go in for Conforto, but I doubt that happens.
This team is close, not adding more pieces now makes it seem like rich trust fund boy doesn’t care about wins
We probably still have an opening at starting pitching right? Mize, Skubal, Manning, and Rodriguez. Isn’t Turnbull out for season? offensively, only really hole is in OF. If we are banking on Greene making team, then we have Grossman and Baddoo who is probably a platoon.
I think this might be true on some level, but the pitchers on the market aren't good so I don't want them to go big there. I'd love to see them add a bat like Conforto, but part of that is because I don't really trust that Baddoo's rookie year is going to get exponentially better going forward. I hope I'm wrong there, but given Avila's history of valuing any young player who does anything good, I don't see them signing up to be in a position where someone like him is suddenly a 4th OF.
