Mine is $35 more to jump to that tier. It's a fucking joke. As if I didn't hate myself enough already watching the Tigers and Pistons.
Flags fly forever!!! Montilla was the FCL guy I posted about earlier this season. Tigers Win Florida Complex League Championship July 29, 2024July 29, 2024Josh Norris0 Comments The first championship of the 2024 minor league season is in the books. On Monday, the FCL Tigers topped their counterparts from the Pirates by a final of 12-1, giving them a clean sweep through the playoffs. As has been the case all year, the team’s offensive attack was spearheaded by leadoff man and shortstop Franyerber Montilla. The 19-year-old went 3-for-4 with a double, two walks and four RBIs in his team’s marauding attack over the boys from Bradenton. One of the best prospects in the FCL, Montilla finished the year hitting .273/.409/.448 with 12 doubles, six home runs and 24 stolen bases.
Looks like we got Yankees, astros and brewers interested in Flaherty. Think we could get one good offer at least from that group
Hinch is apparently just going to let the new guy throw until his arm falls off. Good for Sammons to get through 7.1 innings on short notice.
Why would we move Ibanez? He’s cheap and great platoon / utility guy. We won’t get anybody worth a shit for him.
This would have been a great haul for Flaherty. Harris better get a better return than this, or it will be another deadline failure for him.
I really hope this means we're about to get a massive haul for Flaherty if we were in talks with Houston. This is a massive haul for an average starter who is also a rental.
Dodgers and Yankees are still out there looking for starting pitching and haven't added any yet. Could see us combining Flaherty with a reliever like Chafin to try to maximize the return. If not, I'm not sure why we haven't moved any relievers yet in this market.
Which other president of baseball ops fucked up back to back trade deadlines in his first two years and still had a successful career
Didn’t start pitching this year until July when he started his rehab work for UCL issues. Sounds about right.
I'd be perfectly happy keeping Flaherty and extending him, if it wasn't for the fact our owner is a cheap ass and won't pay him so I know that's not an option. Better get something for him
