The first championship of the 2024 minor league season is in the books. On Monday, the FCL Tigers topped their counterparts from the Pirates by a final of 12-1, giving them a clean sweep through the playoffs.

As has been the case all year, the team’s offensive attack was spearheaded by leadoff man and shortstop Franyerber Montilla. The 19-year-old went 3-for-4 with a double, two walks and four RBIs in his team’s marauding attack over the boys from Bradenton.

One of the best prospects in the FCL, Montilla finished the year hitting .273/.409/.448 with 12 doubles, six home runs and 24 stolen bases.

 

Looks like we got Yankees, astros and brewers interested in Flaherty. Think we could get one good offer at least from that group

 

Astros just traded for Yusei Kikuchi

 

Bloss is pretty solid return for him.

Could see us combining Flaherty with a reliever like Chafin to try to maximize the return. If not, I'm not sure why we haven't moved any relievers yet in this market.
