We haven't officially announced Montero as the SP. We may use an opener then him. But if we can get 6+ from both Mize and Montero today, that would be huge
Skubal going tomorrow gives us at least 7 innings. Not concerned about bullpen. Hopefully we jump on them early today.
oh no....that sucks for those not familiar with the story due to my name irl and my handle, there was a time on the Rivals freeboard where I was asked to prove that I wasn't Chet Lemon herb.burdette may have been a ringleader in that affair
but seriously Chet Lemon was one of my faves as a kid, sad to see him go. Hope he's in a better place
Which position player do you think would be our best pitcher? I say they go full Shane Halter / Andrew Romine with McKinstry and try to get him all 9 positions in one game.
People think it's because we playing rockies in coors everyone is playing well, nope.... everyone is trying to stay off the updated bust list coming out tomorrow
Although I like the idea of Montero throwing back to back complete games against the Rockies, please give me a position player pitching in the bottom of the 9th.
I know it’s the Rockies, but if we could get Brieske back to how he did in 2nd half last year, that would be a massive win for bullpen.
We just completed a 3 game series in under 24 hours. That seems like something that doesn't happen a lot
7-3 road trip, following an 8-2 homestand. Team exceeded the Vin algorithm by 2 games. This team fucks
The Detroit Tigers currently rank 1st in the American League in runs scored (208) and second in runs allowed (125).
The Tigers leading the AL in runs scored through 38 games is more shocking to me than the Pistons winning 44 games this year.
22 of our 38 games have been against .500+ teams and another 3 against Twins who are 1 game below .500 in games not against us. Last 7 have been helpful against the bottom of the AL, but we've really done this against an overall not easy schedule
