Anibal threw 120 pitches in his 17 k game. It's amazing the span of about a decade now much they've cut down on pitches for sp. And I don't think it's really cut down on injuries, feel like guys are getting hurt more

 

seems like Verlander was throwing 115 every start. Don’t pay close enough attention to other teams to see how far their pitchers go.

I feel like he should either get an IL stint to try to get right or they should make him strictly a DH until it feels 100%. We have more than enough guys who can play OF to handle that (Greene, Perez, Meadows, Vierling, McKinstry, Baez, Jones).

 

And every one of them gets to a ball in the gap better.

 

He’s clearly been hurt. Maybe a stint on the DL and he comes back around the deadline as his old self.

I watched (for the first time) the Statcast broadcast of the Tigers game, and I think this is how MG2 sees a regular broadcast.

 

I enjoyed their commentary

 

Benetti doing normal broadcasts is like 75% of a Statcast broadcast for ESPN (he used to do most of them for ESPN years ago). My dad hates Benetti for this reason.

 

I liked when they got so aroused by Skubal talking about WAR and defensive runs saved metrics

I feel like the “can he stick in center” is the favorite question of prospect rankers who never watch major league baseball. The skillset of players who actually start games in CF in the majors is wide.
