Because we have a bunch of middle of the pack prospects. And a 40 FV is pretty bad. 45 FV is a bench player equivalent
Rogers with #15 tonight. Hopefully he pans out. McCann is so embarrassing but I guess he’s helped us lose games this year so hopefully he starts every game on out. Go white sox
Rod Allen needs to Shut the fuck up about Victor Reyes . He fucking sucks. His OPS is .513 and he has 4 extra base hit.
Seems like we've been a lot more aggressive with promotions this year than previous seasons. There's only a couple weeks left in the season so it probably doesn't matter.
Listed in the article but not the tweet, Wenceel Perez was bumped to West Michigan. Some prospect guys really like him. Meadows' performance in Connecticut will be interesting, even in the small sample. If he does well, he'll likely start next year in WM. I think there's at least a 50/50 chance he doesn't open spring training anywhere next year, though. Especially if he's over-matched in Connecticut now.
Rod Allen just said Ryan Carpenter is a decent pitcher, as he was reading his AAA stats, which include a 5.00 ERA.
Michael Fulmer went 4 innings in Lakeland today and dominated. Maybe he does one more rehab start, but seems he should be back in the rotation the end of the month unless there's a setback.
I'm aware. He was throwing 95-98 with a really good slider, according to multiple reports from the scene, meaning his stuff appears to be there. Thus, 20 year olds couldn't touch him, and he's probably ready for a big league start within the next 10 days.
Looking at the 40 man roster. Why the hell is Sandy Baez on it? Or is it Soto that has walked a batter in every outing this year? Either way both are on the 40 man.
Because they both have really good arms and we don't have better players to put on the 40 man ahead of them.
If current schedules hold, Verlander is scheduled to pitch in Detroit on Monday, September 10. Lions are opening the season that night on MNF. Kind of weird scheduling if it ends up playing out that way.
I rather take the loss. We weren’t trading Jimenez this off season. Garden hire is a moron and shouldn’t have put Green in that situation.
Falling apart down the stretch again like last year is not going to help us. It might move us up a spot or two in the draft, but it would be a lot better for us if Fulmer, Greene, Castellanos and some others produce to the point where their trade value goes up. Some young guys need to perform, too. Cheering for everyone to suck and for us to lose more games is only going to prolong how long we suck. It's a complete waste of a season if we can't trade any of these guys for any value and none of our young players show themselves to be future pieces for us.
