I get what you’re saying about wanting Fulmer to be lights out. Greene won’t fetch us a ton in return, and we always have the deadline to deal him. This team fucking sucks, and is not even 5 years away from winning. There are no difference makers waiting in the minors, besides Mize. Our only good young players are Fulmer, Jimenez, and Castellanos. It’s only going to get worse from here. Teams like the Padres and White Sox all have better futures than us.
Manning to AA is interesting. Not sure I would have done that, but I guess they plan to put him there to start next year anyway so what the hell?
100% agree with you. Fulmer pitched excellent yesterday. Him dominating and us losing was the best outcome. Who cares if we win games down the stretch. We have maybe 2 players that will be on the roster in 5 years when we might be good again. If we can sneak to the third pick that would be excellent.
Great fucking weekend for team tank. You will have a hell of a team in a year or two #Chicago White Sox fans. Congrats.
White Sox are gonna fuck arround and end up drafting 8th. Team keeps winning now that the pitching staff has come together
I think your floor is 6th pick. We are both in the 3 to 6 pick range. There are two stud catchers, and some solid short stops next year. Picking 3rd would be nice.
I’m happy for the progress from Giolito and Rodon but man 3rd is much more appealing pick than 6th especially know Detroit is drafting ahead of the Sox in this scenario Haven’t looked at the class but my guess is Sox would go for most advanced arm or a catcher. Next draft class is gonna be about filling holes
Curious to see what he says after tonight. Check out the video clip, he does kind of have a violent delivery. Love the arm on Rogers.
I'm about to join Vinegar Strokes on the anti-Emily side. She did one of her attention seeking "I started doing this 4 years ago and people laughed at me but I believed..." twitter threads last night. Which is whatever, but I'm used to it from following her. Because Twitter is stupid now and thinks I want to know what the people I follow like, I have seen that thread at least 20 times today pop up because she liked someone's response to it. Twitter is stupid.
Twitter is stupid, and I saw it linked a bunch of times, though it was mostly other scribes urging me to read it. It was pretty "look at me", but I'm not gonna allow Vin-level hatred into my heart.
The Vin-level hate is more about Twitter now than Emily. Like I said, it's just part of what you get when you follow her and overall I enjoy the content. Twitter thinking I need to see 40 posts on my timeline of what other people liked if I'm away from it for a couple hours is just really annoying me.
I don’t follow box score girl, but I think one of the Tigs Town guys liked it. Yeah, congrats Emily on making it. Are you even making $30k? She’s an attention whore.
I just went on Twitter for the first time in 90 minutes. I counted 18 times that thread showed up on my feed between the last tweet I saw and the most current simply because she liked all those responses and Twitter decided to show them.
You can turn off retweets from the people you follow. There is no filter for their likes to not show up in their timeline though.
My old ass learned something today. Now can I stop seeing tweets from yesterday "in case I missed it"?
How much of the Zimmerman contract are you willing to eat to get a deal done and are you expecting a real prospect in return because we are unwilling to give one up. Signed, David Stearns
Is this a real rumor? Because the answers to those questions are (or should be)... 1. Most of it 2. No
Yes it is a real rumor but I don't think we would be willing to take on much money or give up anything of value. Zimmerman is a Wisconsin kid and we seem to think that a move back home and to the national league would revive his career. I'm doubtful but if the cost is mimimal I would be willing to do it.
Cheese curds suck And to answer your question, we will pick up all of Zimmermann contract, and throw in box score girl.
Daz Cameron and Jake Rogers both going to play in the AFL. Kind of surprised by Rogers, given how long a season that has to be for a catcher, but he's really turned his season around. He ended up as a league average hitter in Erie after posting an OPS of around .460 through the end of May. Paredes also having a monster close to the year and has a .330/.416/.470 line in 35 games in AA at age 19. I think there's a very real chance that, by the end of the All-Star break next season, our every day players up the middle of the diamond will all be rookies in... Cameron - CF Willi Castro - SS Paredes - 2B Rogers - C Wouldn't shock me if Cameron and Rogers break camp with the team in April, although they might manipulate service time a bit and keep them down until May.
I also think it's likely that Mize, Burrows, Funkhouser and Perez (if healthy) start games in the big leagues at some point next year.
Only one game out of the 3rd spot. The bust Daniel Norris on the mound today, should be another loss. Jimenez will likely finish year with ERA close to 5. Yikes
I would love to eat crow on Norris. He’s dominating today. FB only at 91-92 though. He’s just so inconsistent .
